"I had it made that way so I wouldn't try to do somethign stupid, and so that certain people couldn't accuse me of certain things." he whispered back, "Just get it off, I'll explain later."
"I had it made that way so I wouldn't try to do somethign stupid, and so that certain people couldn't accuse me of certain things." he whispered back, "Just get it off, I'll explain later."
She shook off the bad feelings, and quickly unclasping it. She pulled it off his wrist, and lifted her eyes to meet his. "Here," She said holding it out to him.
Skye stiffened as soon as she took it off, not seeming to hear her for a moment as he tried to get it under control, the voices now clouding his own thoughts making it hard to think straight. 'Raindrops.. raindrops… focus.." he muttered, trying to clear his head of all the intruding thoughts.
"You OK?" She asked, her voice barely above a whisper. She was worried, even if he was kind of a jerk, she didn't want him to be in anguish or anything. She wasn't that heartless.
"Let me focus, and try to keep your head blank," he said softly, clearly a little off balance right now as he focused on the guards and anyone else who was a cop, mentally forcing them all into a state of dormancy. Aka putting them all to sleep. Visibly relaxing a little once they were all unconscious he took a breath, "We should be able to walk out now, but we won't have time to look for a key to the cuffs, also you're going to have to lead once we're out, since I'm definitely going to be overwhelmed once we're out."
"Alright, but are you going to go ballistic once we're out?" She asked warily, standing up. "I don't want to have to knock you out and drag you around town." She frowned, lifting her hands up to tie her hair back.
"No, but I am going to get a massive headache." he grimaced a little, "Long story short Im an untrained telepath, and I haven't mastered blocking, yet."
"Well, that's nice to know." She sighed, dropping her hands to her sides, yanking his along. Her curls were pulled back, revealing her face better. It had paint smudges, that could look like colorful scars. Her large eyes shut, and she sucked in a deep breath.
Skye nodded, "Yeah, but right now we need to move before they wake up" he gestured to the guards and started moving towards the door.
"Then lead the way." She told him, giving him a once in a life time chance to lead her.
Skye nodded grimly, "Let's hope you can keep up." he said, summoning an aura burst to break the door down, leading her out at a brisk pace.
She had chased him down rooftops, and had almost caught him at that. So badly she wished to point that out, but of course she wasn't going to. She only kept up to his pace, silently.
Skye took them out of the building and into the nearest alley, opting to stick to the ground since he didn't know how well the other could climb as they kept to a light run.
"How far are we going?" She asked softly, tripping up as he seemed to keep pulling on the cuffs. She caught herself, but kept tripping up every time she had caught herself.
"As far as possible obviously." said Skye, not bothering to stop as she tripped.
She finally regained herself and sighed. “Do you have somewhere in mind? We need to lay low, otherwise they’ll catch us.”
"Do you really think I'm an idiot?" asked Skye, his mood clearly not a good one.
"No, I'm just stating the obvious." She whispered, trying to stay calm.
Skye nodded, trying to ignore his growing headache, slowing a little so he wouldn't trip as he looked for a way to the rooftops.
"You still doing OK?" She asked, finally catching herself, and timing her pace with him. "I have somewhere we could stay."
(Boop)(Oh also, I've been trying to do better about my word count, so I can boost my responses up some)
(Hi, totally lost this)(Uhmm… go for it I guess, I've been meaning to do that too, but for right now I ask that you bear with me if I give really short crappy replies)
"Too many people…" he muttered, still moving, "And we're closer to my hideout."
(Eheh, I might have to do that rn too)
“How do you know where mine could possibly be?” She questioned a little defensive.
"You realize I'm an uncontrolled telepathic , right? It's nothing personal but it popped into my head when you thought about it, and mine is closer."
Connue huffed, not knowing that fact. "Fine Mr. Know-it-all, that's the last time I give you a suggestion." She rolled her eyes, pursing her lips. Personally, she thought going further away would be best, do to the fact that they could get caught. But she wasn't going to say anything to him.
