“Well, that’s gotta suck.” She mumbled, shutting her eyes. She knew she wasn’t being the best help, but what was she suppose to say? She was sorry for him?

"Mostly it's just boring." shrugged Skye, "Boring, and way too full of internal scrutiny."
"That makes sense. If you can't sleep what do you do?" She shrugged, running her fingers through her hair.
Hide, run about the city, lie awake and stare at the ceiling, practice magic…"
"Sounds like the life," She hummed, a slight smile. "Maybe not the dream life, but the life."
Skye shrugged, "Not really… but it suits me well enough.."
"Sounds like something my parents would hate, so I love the idea of it." He hummed.
Skye laughed, "If that's the only appeal then yopu should think about all the downsides of my life."
"I'd rather take it, then be under the roof of my parents. They're ridiculous." She whined, rather loudly at that.
Skye hummed, "Be glad you have parents" he said softly, a note of longing in his voice, barely enough to be identified.
"You can have mine," She said, wishing she could just hand them over. "If I didn't mention anything about what you've done, they'd take you in two seconds flat."
"No.. It wouldn't feel right.." he said softly.
"That's fine, I was just making a harmless statement." She shrugged, fiddling with her hair.
Skye fell silent after that, not sure how to respond, particularly since he personally didn't feel that it was a harmless statement.
"Man, I'm worn out." She mumbled, rubbing her face. "This day has been too long." She admitted to herself, not bothering to look at him. She had noticed he had gone oddly quiet, but wasn't going to say anything about it.
Skye hummed in response, not really giving any kind of answer.
“When can, and when will we get a move on from here?” She asked, throwing an arm over her face.
"Depends on how quickly the heat dies down a little." said Skye.
“Well, I guess we’re stuck.” She sighed, rubbing her face. Her dark hair bounced lifting her head.
"Pretty much.." said Skye in response before falling silent again.
"Why so quiet?" She hummed, looking over to him.
"Thinking…" he said softly, "Nothing more."
"Really? Well what about?" She questioned, turning to face him better.
"Nothing in particular.." he said with a sigh.
“Nothing at all? Well that’s a shame.” She admitted, acting more upset then she was.
