Raz stroked his cheek "fine, but don't worry yourself over it too much. you need to live your second life too. Don't waste it on worrying about me. I'll find you soon enough." he promised, kissing his head and nuzzling into Jay's chest. "I swear it." he whispered

He just smiled, hugging him tightly. "I wish I didn't have to leave. I want to stay here with you."

“So do I,” He nuzzled into Jay’s chest and shut his eyes. “Do you have to go with Marcus? What if you just stayed? Would he find you and force you to go?”

He sighed softly. "Even if I did stay, he'd force me to go. He has an iron collar around my neck that gets tighter every time I resist."

“I’m guessing there’s no chance that we’ll be able to break it?” He asked, hope slowly dying away. “How long do you think it’ll take for you to get all the contracts done?”

"We can try to break it but it won't be easy. I'm too weak to resist his powers so you'd have to be the one to really get close to him and break it."

(Has a spur of the moment betrayal idea….?)
“How would that work exactly? What do you mean ‘close to him?’” He asked slowly “if you, a demon, isn’t strong enough, what makes you thing a human can get close?”

(Ooo, do proceed!)
"Because if you use the reason that you want to back out of the contract, he can help with that under one condition, that you'll be his bonded instead. That can allow you to get close to him like how you have with me."

(okay so if or when Raz releases Jay from Marcus's Iron hold, he becomes property of Marcus and jay is set free, that having been his whole plan from the begging, hence why he needed someone to trust him and willingly do anything. He leaves to become the powerful Demon he dreamed to be and leaves Raz with Marcus. They could possibly start a romance? Just a thought, we don't have to go with it.)
raz' eyes shifted, uncomfortable with the idea of potentially being Marcus' property. "there's no way around it?" he asked softly, wanting to help Jay, but at what cost?

(Oh, I don't know. I really love the dynamic of Jay and Raz and from the way I have Marcus, he wouldn't be right for Raz. He'd be more abusive than romantic)
"There really isn't. I'm sorry my prince, I didn't mean to get you involved like this."

(okay! that's absolutely fine, and yeah, i like their dynamic too!)
"It's okay, don't be sorry, I'm glad I got to meet you, despite the short time we've spent together." he nudged Jay's head with his own "we'll be together again, I promise my king. No force on Earth, heaven or hell will change that." He pressed kisses to his jaw and sighed softly

He smiled a little. "What did I do to deserve someone like you?" He cuddled him close, trying to ignore the feeling of his heart breaking.

he shook his head snuggled into jay's neck "absolutely nothing, my love. You didn't have to do anything." he reassured, stroking his hair and started humming to calm them both

"Can I get a kiss to calm down? Please?" His voice was almost childish with how soft and innocent it sounded.

"my king, you don't have to beg for my love," he murmured, lips only a breath away from Jay's "my beautiful king, I must've done something to find myself with you." he whispered, pressing his lips to jay's and closing his eyes

He instantly relaxed against his lips, pulling him closer. He just kissed him, trying to forget about everything else.

Raz wrapped his arms around Jay with a small hum and kissed him a bit harder, more desperate.

His desperation grew, really wanting to savor the last few days he'd have with Raz.

“Don’t go,” He whispered softly, pulling away slightly to breath and trace Jay’s lips. “You promised you’d stay.” He looked into Jay’s eyes, knowing hat it was impossible for him to stay without him getting hurt

"I won't, my prince. I'll stay with you, no matter the cost. I love you." He pecked his lips softly.

He hummed softly “I love you more.” He said, burying his hands in Jay’s hair “but you’ll get hurt….I can’t live with myself if you’re hurt more than this.”

"This will heal, Raz. I'll be okay. My purpose is to protect you, I'll do what I have to so I can do that."

“Which means you have to go,” he concluded, voice cracking as he pressed himself closer to Jay. He sobbed quietly and tightened his grip on Jay as if he could disappear from the room at any second

"Don't cry, love, I'm still here. I'm not leaving you. I'll stay by your side, I promise."
