Raz smiled softly and gently squeezed his husband's hand "wild and untamed." He nodded and pressed a kiss to Jay's cheek. "The perfect opportunity." He mused, nodding his head at the party happening around them
"Well, maybe not completely wild. That would not end well." He laughed, rubbing the back of his neck shyly.
Raz arched an eyebrow "do I want to know love?" He asked with a small laugh, watching as people went closer to the fire as the night grew a bit colder
"Believe me, no you do not. I went a bit crazy in Miami before I met you and things ended really badly."
"please tell me you didn't cause a war or shitty trend movement." He begged, offering a small smile. "It's okay to still be wild or free, just as long as you don't hurt anyone, right? Was Jackson with you?"
"Ah, yeah he was. And no, no wars or trends happened. Just a house fire and almost a few people in the hospital. Real fun."
Raz arched an eyebrow "a house fire?" He gently brushed a hand along Jay's cheek. "And how did this beautiful creature come to be? From house party Miami bad boy to the person I love so much?"
"Through a lot of hard labor and a bit of soul searching. Marcus totally reamed me for that, I almost got banished from Earth altogether."
"well, I'm glad he at least let you stay. Otherwise we wouldn't have been able to meet." Raz said, dropping his voice slightly in case others overheard.
"Yeah, so am I. Though if that same Miami bad boy could see me today, he'd probably think I was crazy."
Raz laughed softly "was I not your type?" He teased, mock offense in his voice. "Don't worry, I'm pretty sure that past me would believe I were crazy, seeing me now."
"Back then, my type didn't exist. I was single and prepared to never mingle again. Lucky you, you existed and made this heart of mine remember that I am still very gay and very much capable of falling in love."
"I'm very lucky my love. I don't know what I would have done if we never met." He rested his head against his husband's shoulder and nudged into his neck.
"Believe me my love, I don't know what I would've done either. You're my everything." He kissed the top of Raz's head before laying his on top.
Raz's eyes fluttered shut at the kiss and scooted closer to Jay. He lightly traced his fingertips along Jay's arm as they watched the dancing around them. "If anyone else had tried anything remotely similar to what you did back when we met, I'm pretty sure I would have walked out of that bar. There was something about you that made me stay." He murmured softly with a small smile
"Aw, really? All I did was ask what was up with you. I mean, you did look pretty upset so I'm glad I asked."
"yeah but after that, you were so," he shook his head slightly, trying to do d the right words. "Understanding and kind." He shrugged "you weren't like the other people I've met. You were someone I wanted to be with constantly."
"Seriously? I was just being nice. You said you were heartbroken and I just wanted to help." Then, a bell went off in Jay's head. "Hey, that reminds me. I never did ask, what happened with that ex of yours? I thought it would've been rude to ask since it was a fresh wound and I guess I just forgot about it."
Raz sighed softly "I don't really know. He tried calling me when you were gone for those seven years. He seems to have changed, at least when we spoke on the phone. I hope he's better." He mused softly.
"Oh did he now. I'm sure he was thrilled to find out you'd moved on to someone else. What caused the break up in the first place?"
Raz laughed softly, "he didn't seem too like that too much. Honestly I probably enjoyed that a little far too much." He smirked and pressed a kiss to Jay's cheek. He took a deep breath "tonsay the least, I became a person I never dreamed about being whenever with him. Someone I hated."
"Oh, so you had to change. Yeah, remind me to drop kick him if we ever meet him, alright?"
Raz laughed and shook his head "hopefully we'll never cross paths with him again. But I'll definatly.point him.oit to you if we ever happen to see him."
"Then he is being thanked for giving me my husband and then drop kicked. Because I only met you after he screwed up."
"and I will forever be thankful to you for saving me from what otherwise would have been a very miserable life." Raz replied with a small smile. He had never actually talked about his ex for this long, at least not without breaking down and crying. He liked having eomeone to talk to, even if he didn't go into detail about his past.
