Joy nodded.
“Sounds good,” she yawned, covering her mouth as she did so. “Have fun?”
Joy nodded.
“Sounds good,” she yawned, covering her mouth as she did so. “Have fun?”
Bryce snorted a little and shook his head as he started down the hall. “Not really, no. Meetings are not my favorite thing to do at work.”
Joy snorted, making her way towards the kitchen. She yawned again before she washed her hands.
Uncovering the food bowls, she slowly set them on the table, along with forks and spoons and plate. She pulled out two cans of soda from the fridge, and after getting some straws, she put them on the table as well.
Sitting back down on the couch, Joy waited for her fiancé.
A few minutes later, Bryce stepped out of the bathroom, scrubbing at the water in his hair with his towel once more before he tossed it into the clothing hamper. He walked out to the dining room and smiled at the sight that greeted him.
“This looks amazing, babe. Are you ready to eat?” he asked, glancing over at her.
Joy nodded, grinning.
“Of course,” she hugged her stomach. “Thank you, Bryce. I hope it tastes as great as it looks.”
“I’m sure that it will. My fiancée is a wonderful cook, after all,” Bryce declared with a wink as he sat down in one of the seat.
(Shouldn’t it be fiancée?)
Joy blushed, taking her seat as well before she passed Bryce’s plate over to him.
“I think cream, pink and golden would be a good combo for the wedding colors,” she said. “And I haven’t found a wedding planner yet, but we’ll get there.”
(sigh Yeah… I fixed it. Lol.)
“We have plenty of time, babe. There’s no rush,” Bryce reassured her, patting her knee gently before taking a bite of food. “What about a venue? Did you find somewhere to have the wedding?”
Joy scrunched her nose.
“I haven’t,” she sighed. “I thought it would be nice checking them out together.”
Bryce smiled and nodded. “That’s a great plan. I think we should definitely do that. After we eat, maybe?”
Joy frowned, shaking her head.
“No,” she objected. “I want to cuddle with you and go to sleep. We can do it later.”
"That's even better. I missed you today. You and little Ambrose," Bryce said softly, smiling over at her.
Joy hugged her stomach again, blowing Bryce a kiss.
“We missed you, too,” she puckered her lips a little. “He only kicked once. I think he missed hearing your voice, too.”
Bryces smile widened into a large grin, and he bent down to her belly. "Did you miss me? Did you miss daddy? Daddy missed you and mommy, too…"
(Oml Bryce.)
Joy smiled brightly, feeling a kick. She laughed, running her fingers through his hair.
“I think he did,” she murmured. “He kicks a lot more when you speak.”
(He’s a cinnamon roll~!!!
Here, anyway. Lol. Not in his original story… Well, he would be there, too, if other circumstances didn’t prevent it.)
Bryce chuckled softly as he straightened and pressed a swift kiss to his fiancé’s lips. “You’re so amazing, you know that? You’re growing a tiny human being inside of you.”
(Oh…):
Joy wrapped her arms around Bryce as best as she could.
“It wouldn’t have happened without you,” she murmured, looking up at him rather pleadingly. “Kiss me again?”
“What happened to eating, beautiful?” Bryce chuckled before reconnecting their lips gently.
Joy hummed gratefully against his lips, a smile on her lips.
“You haven’t kissed me for a longer time since forever,” she complained. “I just missed it.”
“How about after we eat and are in bed I’ll kiss you for as long as you want, hm?” Bryce suggested with a smile.
Joy smiled back.
“Okay,” she agreed rather bashfully, picking up her spoon and raising it to Bryce’s mouth.
Beyce grinned and gently took the spoonful on his mouth. He lifted his own spoon and did the same to Joy, smiling.
After eating, Joy got to her feet and collected the plates, carrying them to the kitchen sink.
“You can go lie down,” she said to Bryce. “I’ll join you after I’ve washed the dishes and out everything away.”
Bryce clicked his tongue and stood. “Why don’t I help you? There’s not much to do,” he suggested.
Joy scratches her head.
“You must be tired from work,” she insisted. “I don’t want to bother you with trivial things.”
