Joy let him drag her off to the cough, taking a seat on the couch. She winced slightly, a shot of pain going through her lower back, but it went away as quickly as it arrived.
“When will this baby come out already?” She grumbled. “C’mon, my Wolf. Play the movie already and sit down so I can lay my head on your lap!”
"I'm getting there, love. You've just gotta be patient," Bryce said, being sure to keep his voice calm as he sat down and grabbed the remote.
Joy immediately shifted so she had her head in his lap, looking up at him apologetically.
“I’m sorry,” she apologized. “It’s just till we have Ambrose. All these hormones are making me like this.”
Bryce smiles softly and bent sown to kiss her forehead. "I know. And that's okay. I understand that your body is going through a lot of changes right now."
“But it’s still annoying,” Joy murmured. “I hate causing you problems and what’s what I’m doing…”
“You’re not causing me any problems, Joy. Don’t think like that, okay? I never want you to think you’re a problem for me,” Bryce murmured, running a hand through her hair reassuringly.
Joy closed her eyes, inhaling deeply, loving his fingers in her hair.
"Thank you," I murmured. "For not thinking of me as a problem."
Bryce bent down to gently kiss her forehead. “I would never. I could never… I love you too much to ever think you’re a problem, love.”
Joy reached out to cup his cheek, smiling.
"I love you, too," she murmured. "Now let's watch the movie?"
(Mm… We could do when she’s farther along? Maybe another month or so? Starting to feel the baby kick?)
(Yesss I have the perfect moment for it!)
(WAIT CAN WE CHANGE THIS? Because I was occupied when I started this and I want to do better~)
(Lol. Yeah. I can delete my response if you want.)
(So we're deleting the posts?)
(Yup. Because I want this to be better?)
(Okay~)
Joy shifted in her sleep, groaning when she couldn’t find a perfect position. She didn’t want to disturb Bryce, but she just wanted a good position to sleep in!
Sighing deeply, Joy rested her hand on her stomach.
“You silly child,” she murmured. “Do you know how much sleep I have to sacrifice?”
Joy felt something bump against her hand, as if something had kicked her stomach from the inside.
Realization struck her light lightening. Her eyes snapped open and she sat up straight, resting her hand back on her stomach, feeling another kick.
“Holy…” she gasped, tears gathering at the corner of her eyes again. “Oh my God, Bryce… wake up… Bryce!”
Joy's frantic voice cut through Bryce's sleep like a hot knife to butter. He shot up and rubbed at his eyes.
"What? What is it? Is it the baby? What's wrong?" he questioned sleepily.
Joy didn’t respond. She merely grabbed his hand and rested it against her stomach.
Nothing kicked. She frowned. Wasn’t the baby going to kick for his father?
“The baby kicked…” she whispered. “I scolded him and he kicked me twice.”
Bryce sighed a little and rubbed his thumb against her stomach. "Feisty… You haven't fallen asleep yet, though? Babe… It's almost midnight…" he murmured sleepily.
Joy chewed in her lower lip.
“Ambrose wasn’t let me sleep,” she answered quietly. “I just couldn’t find the right position to fall asleep in.”
She smiled as he continued to run circles on her stomach, touching it herself.
“This naughty boy doesn’t want his mother to go to sleep…”
Bryce smiled a little before bending down to kiss her baby bump. "You stop giving your mommy a hard time, okay? That's my future wife you're bothering," he murmured to little Ambrose.
