Rafael headed up one flight of stairs, making sure Arien stayed close behind him. They finally made it to Rafael’s apartment and he pulled his keys out of his pocket, unlocking the door. “Here we are. Home sweet home.”
Arien followed close behind, grinning the whole way. He stepped in when Rafael opened the door, looking around once.
"Cool!" He said, grinning at Rafael. "What would you like me to grab?"
“No, no, no you don’t need to do anything. Just go sit and relax, it’ll only take me a few minutes to get my things and then I’ll be ready to go.” He flicked on the lights. The apartment was relatively tidy and organized.
Arien bit back a pout.
"But I'd like to help. Plus, I could carry more than you could." Still, he sat down on the edge of the couch.
“I’m perfectly capable of carrying my things, but I appreciate the offer.” He ruffled Arien’s hair as he passed before heading into a different room, probably his bedroom, to get his things.
Arien did pout at that, selling into the couch with a small huff. He straightened his hair a bit, sticking his tongue out slightly when Rafael was gone.
Arien could probably hear Rafael moving things around in his room. After a few minutes he ducked out into the hallway. “Hey you mind if I just go ahead and change while I’m here?” He asked, already halfway through the process of getting his shirt off.
"No, I don't mind at all!" Arien sat up a bit, blushing lightly and looking away.
“Okay cool.” He said, not seeming to notice Arien’s blush as he headed back into his room. He got changed into some fresh clothes, grabbed a few more things he thought he might need before heading back out into the main area. He moved past Arien, grabbing some pages of sheet music from off the table. Some of them looked hand drawn instead of professionally printed.
Arien went back to smiling, standing up.
"Is there anything I could help with?" he asked again. He walked over, looking at the sheet music. It was a bit impressive, the things Rafael had written down. He could appreciate it.
“I don’t believe so..I think I have everything I’ll need, at least for a little bit.” He replied, gently putting the sheet music into the bag he had packed.
"Alright then." Arien smiled a bit. He tilted his head, taking Rafael's hand lightly.
"Anywhere else you'd like to go tonight?"
“Mm..not really. Unless there’s somewhere you wanted to go?” He asked, not protesting whatsoever when Arien grabbed his hand.
"No, none. Shall we head back to my place?" Arien smiled softly.
“Mhm, that sounds perfect.” he smiled over at Arien before starting to walk again, turning off the lights and locking the door as they left the apartment.
(Wanna do a time skip to when they’re back at the house?)
(Sure!)
Arien kept his hand in Rafael's as they approached his own home, smiling still.
"It's pretty late," he said, looking at Rafael. "Are you tired?"
“Getting there. I don’t know if I’m at the point where I’m actually ready to sleep just yet though.” He replied. “So we can still hang out for a bit.”
"Alright then. I won't be having any friends over tonight, thankfully." Arien smiled, opening the door for Rafael.
“I’m glad. I don’t really want to have to share you with someone else right now. Or realistically, I have to go hide in my room so your friends won’t do magic on me.” He chuckled softly.
Arien nodded. He smiled softly. He didn't want to be with anyone else at the moment either.
"Elliot's the only one with magic," he promised. "Like that, at least. He's also the only asshole."
“Well that’s a relief. So I only have to potentially fight one of your friends in the future.” He smiled, stepping inside and promptly going and sitting down on the couch.
"And I'll do what I can to make sure you don't have to." Arien smiled in turn, sitting next to Rafael.
"This is nice," he said softly.
He nodded in agreement, his head falling onto Arien’s shoulder with a content sigh. “Mm..I’m getting a little bit tired now.” He admitted softly.
Arien smiled softly, one arm carefully going around Rafael's back.
"I see," he said with a gentle smile.
He yawned, moving closer to the other male, just seeming to get comfortable. “Don’t let me fall or I’ll hurt you.” He grumbled.
