Arien smiled, walking in after Rafael.
"You're welcome," he said with a giddy smile. It had been so long since he had done this.
"What size skate do you need?" He asked, heading over to the rental counter.
Arien smiled, walking in after Rafael.
"You're welcome," he said with a giddy smile. It had been so long since he had done this.
"What size skate do you need?" He asked, heading over to the rental counter.
“Hmm..I’m not sure really. It’s been so long since I’ve done this I kinda forgot how everything works.” He admitted sheepishly.
Arien chuckled softly.
"Okay then, what size shoe do you wear?" Arien ordered his own pair, size fourteen. He picked them up from the counter, turning to Rafael.
“Okay then that would be size 11.” He replied with a smile, easily remembering the information.
Arien nodded, the woman at the counter handing the skates over. Arien paid, offering them to Rafael with a smile. He went over to sit down, pulling his shoes off and getting the skates on.
Rafael took the skates and followed Arien, sitting down next to him and beginning to do the same. “It’s kinda weird seeing so many people after like…two days.
"Really?" Arien asked. He looked over at Rafael as he finished up with his shoes. He stood, testing his balance. He smiled softly, easily staying upright.
“Mhm just a little bit.” He replied with a shrug. He finished lacing up the skates and stood up, having a bit of a struggle in staying upright.
Arien smiled slightly, offering his hands to Rafael for support.
"Well, then, perhaps we should spend more time together out and about."
He smiled up at Arien, taking his hand, he was still a bit shaky but not as much as before. “Yeah we really should. I think it’d be nice.”
Arien moved to be next to Rafael, blushing a bit.
"I do too." Arien started slowly to the skating rink area, smiling.
Rafael kept a tight grip on Arien’s hand so he wouldn’t fall. “Jeez this is a lot harder than people make it look.” He chuckled softly.
Arien smiled, keeping close to Rafael, chuckling softly. He was moving easily enough, with good balance.
"True, true…" He started going around the rink with Rafael, Rafael between him and the wall for more support.
Rafael was relatively quiet for a bit, just focusing on getting better. He bit his lip softly, some locks of hair falling in his face. After awhile, a wide smile appeared on his face. “I think I’m getting the hang of this.”
Arien grinned when Rafael spoke, still holding onto his hand.
"Do you feel confident enough to move from the wall?" He asked, still grinning. This was fun.
In a few songs, the DJ made an announcement.
"Ten minutes till Blackout, make sure to get your neons at the counter!"
“Mhm I think so! No guarantees that I won’t still fall though.” When he heard the announcement, he looked over at Arien. “Well that sounds fun.”
Arien slowly drifted away from the wall with Rafael, nodding.
"Yeah! I enjoy the blacklights." He looked over to the counter. "What to get some things for it? It looks really cool."
“Sure! Let’s go. But you better not let go of me or I will literally just die.” He chuckled, smiling over at Arien.
Arien laughed lightly, smiling back. He headed over with Rafael to the carpeted area, which was much easier to get traction on. He brought them over to the counter, which had various little knick-knack like neon trinkets. Bracelets, necklaces, even a light up pacifier.
"Anything that catches your eye?" Arien asked with a smile.
“Hmm a few things I guess.” He replied. “You see anything?” He asked, leaning his head on the other’s shoulder.
Arien looked around. He chuckled softly, pointing to a pair of plastic vampire teeth.
"What do you think?" He chuckled again. A blush dusted his cheeks lightly as Rafael rested his head on his shoulder, and he smiled shyly.
He laughed softly. “You should get them. If you don’t then I will soooo.” He laughed again, smiling widely.
"Why don't we both get one then?" Arien chuckled, smiling in turn. The woman from before walked up when it looked like they were ready.
"Two vampire teeth, please," he said, grinning at the irony of a vampire buying cheap plastic glowing vampire teeth.
Rafael was holding in laughter at the irony of the situation, quietly watching the transaction, gently biting his lip so he wouldn’t laugh too much.
Arien held the two sets of teeth in his hand, offering one to Rafael. He slipped the other into his own mouth, chuckling. They fit snuggly over his own fangs. He smiled at Rafael, laughing.
