Arien chuckled a bit.
"Okay, okay," he said softly. He smiled, his hand on the side Rafael's arm as they sat together. He had a faint blush, but he could handle this.
Arien chuckled a bit.
"Okay, okay," he said softly. He smiled, his hand on the side Rafael's arm as they sat together. He had a faint blush, but he could handle this.
After a few minutes of fighting to stay awake, he finally sat up with a sigh. “I should probably just head to bed..I don’t want to fall asleep on you and stop you from being able to go do things.”
"It would be okay," Arien said. "But I understand. Good night, Rafael." Arien offered a sweet smile.
“Goodnight…” He said. He gathered his courage and took Arien’s hand again, softly kissing the top of his hand before pulling away. He stood with a small smile. “See you in the morning.”
Arien blushed deeply when Rafael kissed his hand.
"See you in the morning," he echoed, smiling just a bit.
He smiled again before calmly going to his room. Only once he got there did he begin to freak out. “Holy shit…” he whispered under his breath, probably repeating it several more times as he lay down on the bed.
Arien, when Rafael left, let out a shaky breath, collapsing on the couch laying down.
"Holy shit," he said himself, blushing madly. He buried his face in the decorative pillow, muffling his squeak. Oh shit, oh shit, what the hell had just happened??
Rafael stared up at the ceiling, knowing he probably wouldn’t be able to fall asleep for awhile. He was still surprised that he’d done it. He hadn’t been planning to, he just saw the opportunity and he went for it.
Arien was still having a mini freak out on the couch, face bright red. He eventually pulled his face away a little. What had come over Rafael? He stood with shaky legs, going into his own room.
But the thing that stuck in his mind the most was that Arien hadn’t pulled away. So maybe..just maybe…he might actually have a chance? He smiled softly at the thought.
Arien let out another squeak when he was in his room. He took off his mask, slipping his jacket off.
"What… why do I feel like this?" He asked his reflection in the mirror. It was translucent, like Arien wasn't entirely there, but he could still see himself.
After staring at the ceiling a bit more, Rafael decided he should at least try and get some sleep. He dragged himself out of bed, getting changed into a pair of sweatpants before laying back down, closing his eyes.
(Timeskip?)
(Sounds good)
Arien had calmed down by the morning. He was in the kitchen, humming as he made some breakfast for Rafael. He was smiling gently, humming to himself. When that was done, he put the food in the oven to keep them warm. He went back out to the living room, sitting down at his piano. He began to play gently. It had been a while, and it felt good to be practicing again.
Rafael had woken up to the sound of music. He stumbled out into the hall, still in his sweatpants and T-shirt from the night before. He finally made it to the living room and smiled when he saw Arien. “You play really well.”
Arien was playing a gentle tune, looking up when Rafael came out.
"Thank you!" He said with a smile. He continued to play, sitting in such a way that Rafael could sit with him if he wanted.
"I already make some breakfast for you- it's in the oven to stay warm."
“I’ll get it in a second.” He said, going and sitting next to the other, resting his head on Arien’s shoulder.
Arien nodded, smiling as he continued to play. The music filled the house, and Arien was peaceful as Rafael sat with him.
“You’re right, we would sound good playing together.” He commented after a few minutes of just listening to Arien play.
Arien nodded, bringing the piece to a close.
"Yes. It would be fun, too. Though, you're much better than me." He looked at the man resting against him, smiling softly.
He shook his head. “No I think you’re better than me honestly.” He looked over at Arien, smiling at him.
Arien slipped one arm around Rafael again, laughing lightly.
"I've had hundreds of years to practice, but I'm still only average. You're much better."
He shrugged. “It’s just my passion I guess.” He didn’t really know what else to say about it. Violin had always been what he’d use to distract himself from all the bad things happening in the world.
Arien fell quiet, just keeping his arm around Rafael.
"How did you sleep?" He asked.
