William shut the door behind him, looking at her mischievously. He stepped closer to her and bent down.

“Make you scream,” he replied. “What else do you think, love?”

Amber looked up at him, all laughter dying from her throat as she met his eyes. She hummed her answer, then began to slowly lean back onto the bed. She held eye contact with him for as long as she could, blinking up at him.

“Then what are you waiting for? We have an engagement to celebrate,” she breathed.

William breathed heavily as Amber slid off of him. Halfway through, he decided it would be fun if she got to lead, too, so he had swapped their positions. It wasn’t a bad idea.

William pulled her in his arms, breathing her in.

“That was wonderful,” he murmured. “As always.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Amber hummed, her face already buried between his neck and shoulder. “Yeah? I liked it, too… I don’t remember when I was in charge last, actually. But I liked it,” she mumbled against him. “This was a good celebration.”

William rubbed circles on her back. “I haven’t let you take charge until today,” William chuckled. “But it was fun. It was a good one, yes.”

William pulled her back to him, kissing her softly. “I know what you meant,” he said gently. “And I don’t care what you did before college, okay? I love you either way.”

“I should be thanking you for coming into my life,” William murmured, hugging her tightly. “I’m always here for you, Blue. Always.

“I love you, too,” William murmured. “Give me a second so I can discard the contraceptive.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Amber grunted and pulled away reluctantly, rolling into her back and crossing her arms over her stomach. She kept her eyes closed, too tired to open them at this light and not caring to anyway. “We need to look for a new place to live. Can we afford a house? I would really like a house some day…”

“We can afford a house,” William chuckled as he walked over to the trashcan and discarded it. “Hopefully by the time we get married, we have a house of our own.”

“We should just keep a garbage beside the bed. That way you won’t have to leave me to throw it away,” Amber mumbled, on the edge of falling asleep.

William chuckled, crawling back into bed with her and pulling the covers over each other. He held her close again. “We should,” he chuckled. “Sleep, love.”

[TIME SKIP: THE WEEKEND]

"Well, it seems we're early, but our dear friends aren't," William drawled, an arm draped over his fiancee's shoulder, keeping her pressed to his side. They had invited their friends over to Subway for lunch, mostly to see whether they could figure out the big news. But they weren't here yet and William was getting annoyed as time ticked by. "Do we have to meet up with them? They'll create a huge scene."

@Imperfect_Autumn group

“Yes, Will, I wanted to see them and show them,” Amber laughed, kissing his cheek. “Plus, they’re bringing their girlfriends. Or some of them are, anyway. It’ll be good to meet them.”

William opened his mouth to object when the restaurant’s door opened and familiar faces popped in. His teammates. Jace, of course, wasn’t present. William didn’t blame him.

Jude had his arm around a red-haired woman’s waist, who had her cheek pressed against his side. She had a composed look on her features, a scarf around her neck. Jude’s girlfriend, Theresa. William had met her plenty of times and he was, to say the least, surprised by how a calm woman like herself could like a hyperactive puppy like Jude. Yet, here they were.

Parker had his arm hugged by a pink-haired woman. She had a smile on her features as she talked to Parker, lifting a hand to fix her bandana before setting it back on his arm. If William had been confused about Jude and Theresa, he was more so with Parker and Spring. A lazy guy with a girl who could brighten the room with just a smile? That was surprising.

“Oh, there they are,” Jordan’s eyes flickered to the couple. He, Casper and Drew had come alone, it seems. Holden was the last to come in, fingers laced with Savannah.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

“Hey, guys. And girls. Looks like I finally get to meet the ladies who are somehow putting up with these dorks,” Amber greeted them all with a grin, standing and sticking her hand out to the two women she hadn’t yet met. “And Savannah! You finally got Holden to got out with you?”

Spring grinned brightly, letting go of Parker to shake her hand. Theresa waited with an amused smile on her lips as she waited for Spring to let go so she could shake her hand, too.

“Trust me, it’s a huge effort,” Theresa said with a chuckle, earning a ‘hey!’ from her boyfriend. She ignored it. “I’m Theresa, but you can call me Tessa. It’s a pleasure to finally meet Flower Boy’s girlfriend.”

“And I’m Spring,” the pink-haired woman greeted, her voice warm and cheery. “We’ve heard a lot about you! We’ve actually been pestering William a lot to have us meet, but I think he’s just embarrassed.”

“All right, that’s enough,” William finally spoke up, rolling his eyes. “Sit down. I don’t get embarrassed. I just don’t want my beloved getting your bad habits.”

Spring merely stuck her tongue out at the man while Theresa plain out ignored him and instead fixed her attention on her boyfriend. Holden, who had turned pink, finally responded to Amber’s statement.

“Well… yeah, she did,” he chuckled. “I finally said yes to her.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Amber laughed and sat back down after shaking hands. She urged to William to give him a quick kiss on the cheek before looking back at the group.

“Well, I’m glad they finally got someone. I look forward to getting to know you both better in the future,” she said, her smile still wide. “And I’m glad you’re together, Holden and Savannah. You’re a cute couple.”

Everyone greeted the couple before they sat down and began chatting. They’d ordered and had gotten their drinks and were just waiting for their sandwiches to arrive.

“William told us you major in music,” Theresa spoke up, silencing the rest of the group. She took a small sip of the Fanta she was drinking, a calm smile on her features. “I’m absolutely horrible at singing, so I hope one day we can hear your voice.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

“Oh, yeah, I majored in music theory. I actually work at a recording studio now. I don’t do much in the way of music, but you’ve shoot climb that ladder, right?” Amber said with a shrug, lifting her glass to her lips with her left hand to take a sip of water.

Theresa took another sip when her eyes fell on Amber’s finger. She choked on her drink, putting it away and covering her mouth as she coughed, unable to believe her eyes.

“Whoa! Tessa, you okay?” Jude looked at her in worry, rubbing her back gently. “Take it easy.”

When Theresa calmed down, she looked at Amber’s hand again, then at the rest of the group.

“What? Seriously?” She quirked an eyebrow. “Just me?”
