William chuckled and stepped out of his car, walking over to her to open the door. “Let’s go, then. Wouldn’t want to keep my beloved waiting.”
William chuckled and stepped out of his car, walking over to her to open the door. “Let’s go, then. Wouldn’t want to keep my beloved waiting.”
“How about I deal with the tickets while you get the food and drinks? And I’ll join you if I finish first,” Amber suggested, climbing out of the car and walking up to him. She smiled and pecked his lips before looping an arm through his.
“Deal,” William hummed as he shut the door behind her and locked the car. “That would be faster. So drinks, popcorn and what snacks does my future wife want?”
Amber hummed, pulling him toward the doors. “Mike and Ikes, Reese’s Pieces, and anything else you think would be good.”
“All right,” William hummed, and when they got inside, he pecked her lips. “See you in a few, love.”
Amber hummed and kissed him back before pulling away. “See you in a bit,” she said as she made her way toward the tickets.
William walked over to food section and waited in line for his turn. Once it was, he ordered a large popcorn and a large coke (they could share—he didn’t think he could eat or drink that much, anyway), along with the candies she wanted. And he ended up getting a large bag of purple Doritos, because who doesn’t like them?
After Amber got their tickets from the front desk, which didn’t take very long since she had bought them ahead of time, she made her way over to William. As he ordered, she stood beside him and watched him lovingly. She took her candy and the popcorn when it came out, reaching up to peck his cheek.
“Thank you, love. We’re in theater nine,” she said.
William smiled down at her and nudged their foreheads together before he reached over to get their drink and the bag of Doritos. “All right, we’re all set.”
Amber hummed and started walking for the theater. “I can’t wait to see this. I’m excited,” she declared with a grin.
William chuckled and followed after her, taking a small sip of the drink as he did so. “Of course you are,” he nudged her slightly. “You’re the biggest Marvel fan I’ve ever met.”
“Of course I am! The movies are just amazing. I love them. And Sebastian Stan is just…” Amber sighed, smiling wistfully.
“Hey,” William narrowed his eyes at her, but really, he was just joking. “Your fiancée’s right here.”
Amber chuckled and grinned up at him. “And he’s much better looking than Sebastian Stan,” she teased, nudging him.
“He sure is,” William snorted, chuckling as they entered the theater. “Oh, we’re not that late. That’s good.”
“Oh, good,” Amber said, kissing his cheek as they stepped into the theater. “We’re in the second-to-top row, middle seats.”
"All right," William hummed as they began walking over to their designated spots, taking a seat once they were there. "Looks like we missed the first ten minutes."
“That’s not too bad,” Amber murmured under her breath. “Least we’ve seen it before.”
"Definitely," he murmured. "Now shh…"
Amber chuckled softly and opened the Reese’s Pieces, popping a few into her mouth. She leaned against his side as the movie played, determined not to cry this time around.
William snatched one of her candy and tossed it in his mouth, resting his head on hers as he chewed softly. He really didn't like emotional movies—not that he was a cryer, of course—but he didn't mind this one. It was good. It was great.
Amber grunted when he stole her candy, but she didn’t protest. He payed for it, after all. Plus, he was her fiancé. What was his was hers, and what was hers was his.
William stretched when it was the end of the movie, sighing at the lack of credits.
“Well…” he murmured. “That was an emotional ride. You okay, Blue?”
“I’m fine,” Amber mumbled, rubbing at her eyes as she stood. She scrubbed at the faint lines of mascara that were undoubtedly below her eyes, getting rid of the evidence. “What about you? How did you fare?”
William shrugged, wrapping his arm around her while the other hand held most of their trash.
“I died on the inside,” he replied, kissing the side of her head. “That’s how well I fared.”
