Astral kept Simon close, shifting him over to one arm to pick the donut box up to put away. Once everything was cleaned up, he looked to Simon.
"What would you like to do now..?" he asked gently, his hand going to rest lightly on Simon's.
He shrugged, being careful not to somehow fall out of Astral’s arms. “I don’t really care. Whatever you want to do, I’m fine with.” He smiled up at him.
"Mm…" Astral thought a moment as to what they should do that day. He made his way out of the kitchen, both arms going back around Simon to keep him secure.
Simon leaned into Astral, closing his eyes since he was feeling a tiny bit nauseous at the moment for some reason.
Astral patted Simon's back lightly, taking him out into the living room. He cupped Simon's cheek lightly, holding the man close as he sat down on the couch.
Simon opened his eyes to the now familiar room once he felt them stop. The trinkets in the room still freaked Simon out a little, but definitely not as much as when he’d first gotten there.
((mmm back at it again with angsty ideas is if Astral’s solution to Simon being severely depressed is to just take away a majority of his memories of like…everything.))
(Omg if that happened… You know the rp I have with Caustic Faust with these gods? That, that would happen, and the ramifications of Simon getting Shattered… A n g s t but also hurt/comfort in a really strange way while Astral helps Simon heal?)
Astral offered Simon a gentle smile, running his fingers through the human's hair.
"How are you feeling?" Astral asked, voice gentle. While the god was in the room, no one trinket dared to give Simon dirty looks.
((o o p? Idk depends, we have enough angst on our plates with how they’re going to raise le child with Simon refusing to talk to Astral))
He leaned into the touch, smiling softly, but it faded a bit at Astral’s question. He shrugged. “Tired. A little bit nauseous too but it’s probably nothing.”
(I figured, yeah, was don't need that much drama. I think this is an idea to skip/save for later)
Astral's eyebrows furrowed some when Simon mentioned being nauseous.
"Well, you could always have some medicine to help with that," the god suggested. Really, he was worried that this was exactly what he thought it was…
((Yeah probably lmao))
He shook his head. “It’s okay. It’s really not that bad.” But over the course of even a few days, it would get worse and more frequent. Simon would begin to get suspicious. So really, Astral didn’t have that much time left with him like this.
Astral panicked a moment. Should he just come clean, and tell Simon what was going on? He- he didn't know what to do. He wanted to have as much time with Simon as he could, but he… he didn't want Simon to think he didn't regret what he had done, either, because the god did, he regretted all of this…
Simon was completely oblivious, he didn’t have a clue. And he just looked so…happy. Sitting there with his head resting on Astral’s chest, and a soft smile on his face, he looked so much happier and healthier than he’d been when they’d first met. All of that progress would disappear.
Astral looked down at Simon, hiding his turbulence away. He'd… he'd tell Simon, but not now. Not yet. He held the man close, smiling down at him gentl.
“Soooooo what do we want to do today?” Simon asked, looking up at him with that same smile. “It’s only like, what, 11 am?” He guessed, trying to remember when he’d even woken up.
((Also just a heads up I won’t be on for most of the night))
(Ah okie!)
"Yeah, just past eleven," Astral confirmed. "And I'm not quite sure what we will do. Anything, in particular, you have in mind?" Astral smiled back. Simon was just so… pure, right now. Astral had already ruined everything, though.
He shook his head. “No not really. I’m fine with doing anything as long as we can do it together.” He’d spent a lot of days here by himself, but for once he didn’t really want to just be left alone.
Astral felt his hands slipping to hold onto Simon's, thinking a moment.
"Well, perhaps I could show you around some? You've been here for quite some time, but I don't think you ever got a proper tour."
He gasped dramatically. “You’re right, I haven’t been given a proper tour!!” He exclaimed, laughing softly. He squeezed Astral’s hand quickly, smiling.
(Eeeee)
Astral couldn't help but laugh along with Simon. He was just so… contagious, with his tone and disposition. Astral stood, scooping Simon up in his arms playfully.
"Well, then, we'll just have to fix that!"
“Okay!” He exclaimed, practically beaming at this point. He let out a small shriek of surprise when Astral picked him up, but seemed to like it, as he quickly began to laugh again.
Astral laughed some at Simon's response to being picked up, holding him close. He smiled down at the human, holding him close as they started out to the palace.
"So, which kinds of rooms would you like to see first?"
(I just read 'shriek' as 'Shrek' and I'm cackling)
