Emile quickly walked off to an empty part of the palace so he could check up on Lily. “Good morning.” He said quietly.
Lily looked up when Emile spoke, blinking sleepily.
"Good morning, sir…" she said, smiling sweetly. She uncurled some, yawning again.
“Did you sleep well?” He asked, a content smile on his face. He took her out of the pocket gently once he was sure that they were far enough away.
"Mhm!" Lily looked up at Emile, letting herself stayed laid down when she was lifted up on his hand.
"Thank you…"
“You’re very welcome dear. We can eat later, I’m pretty sure Astral’s in that area right now.” He said, patting the top of her head.
Lily did tense some at the mention of Astral, but it went away when she heard he wasn't near them.
"Okay!" The girl grinned as her head was pat, leaning into the touch a little too much and falling over in Emile's palm. She let out a soft breath, giggling some at herself.
Emile laughed softly at that. “Careful now dear. Now what do we want to do today?”
Lily pushed herself back up, folding her legs under her.
"Can we draw?" She asked, looking excited at the thought. It didn't seem to register in her that she was smaller than a crayon or pencil and might have a hard time.
“Yeah sure thing, you just might have a bit of trouble because of how small you are, but we’ll figure it out.” He said, sounding as optimistic as ever.
"Oh- right." Lily giggled some as she looked down at herself, then up at Emile.
"It'll be fun though!"
“It will be!” He agreed. “Let’s go find some supplies then.” He said, beginning to wander back to more of the major areas of the house where the supplies might be. He stopped for a moment. “Is it okay if I put you back in my pocket while we’re looking?”
"Mhm! That's okay!" Lily smiled up at Emile, reading herself for the transition in Emile's hand. She hummed some, still smiling.
“Okay great!” He carefully slid her into the pocket. He didn’t think they’d run into Astral but it was always better to be safe than sorry.
Lily settled down in Emile's pocket, still smiling. She moved to lay down, playing with the strands of her hair. She took happy, thankfully, and content with where she was.
Emile walked through the palace, looking for any sort of art supplies that they could use, humming a simple tune as he searched.
Lily hummed some as Emile looked, listening to him for a moment before trying to copy the tune.
The art supplies could be found in one room in particular- and it seemed to be set up to be a child's room. It hadn't been used in some time, but it looked like it had enough beds for three children, and enough toys and clothes to spoil all of them.
Eventually, Emile wandered into this room, definitely planning to get the supplies as quickly as possible and then get the heck out of there.
"Have you found any?" Lily asked softly, looking up out of the pocket at the underside of Emile's chin. It wasn't like she could see much else, after all.
“Yeah I think there’ll be some in here.” Emile said, quickly beginning to look around the room.
"Yeay!" Lily hummed some, stretching some. The art supplies were in the drawer of one of the bedside tables, a doll lamp resting on top of it.
Emile found them after another moment of scrambling around. “There they are!” He announced cheerfully.
"Yeay!" Lily did her best to stand up in Emile's pocket, managing to grab onto the edge and pull herself up. She paused when she saw the room they were in, turning to look up at Emile instead. She was supposed to be happy right now, so she would be.
“Here, let’s go back to the library, hm?” He suggested. He could tell that this room made her upset. He didn’t get a good feeling from being in here honestly.
"Okay!" Lily brightened up for real at the mention of leaving the room. She still had no true idea what had happened to her friends after she was taken away. She hummed some, grinning up at Emile. She was having so much fun…
Emile smiled down at her before gently tucking her back into his pocket. He picked up the art supplies and quickly left the room.
