((At least he didn’t ‘thank’ Simon for anything, that’d definitely be bothering him now))
Astral would begin to discover soon that the memories probably wouldn’t ever go away. Speaking of memories, some of Simon’s were beginning to come back again. Emile fell quiet for a moment. “As long as you’re trying to change…that’s what’s important.”
(Yeaaaaah… it would be me too-)
"Alright, then… Hopefully, Simon will be okay, someday." Even if it was a life time or two away.
“Yeah…I mean he has all the time in the world to get there.”
"Yeah, he does…" Astral let out a soft sigh. "I'm not even sure if he understands that or not…"
“I don’t think he does understand that…unfortunately…” Emile said, letting out a sad sigh.
"He's… probably not going to take it well. He'll have to learn eventually. He… shouldn't findout when he dies the first time." Astral shook his head slowly.
“Oh yeah he’s definitely not going to take it well.” Emile echoed.
"That is going to be… really bad when I have to tell him." It might keep him from… hurting himself, but it might just take away his hope, too.
He nodded mutely. “He’s gonna be upset at you for awhile after that.”
"Yeah, he really will be." Astral looked down, arms folding some.
“Well…it’s not like there’s anything we can do to change that, so he’ll just have to learn to accept it. I honestly don’t even know when a good time to tell him would be.”
"I… he needs some time to heal before I'm ever going to try to tell him," Astral said calmly. He wasn't going to hit Simon with this right now.
“Yeah you’re probably right…” he agreed.
Astral shook his head some, looking down.
"This isn't going to go well…"
“It’ll go better if Simon feels safer here.” He reassured.
"I'm just not sure how safe he'll ever be able to feel," Astral admitted.
“We’ll just have to wait and see. That’s why it’s so important that you do the best you can to make things right with him.”
"Mm…" Astral let out a breath, shaking his head again.
"This is going to be worth it."
“It’s going to be worth it.” He echoed.
Astral closed his eyes, relaxing some. It really did help, knowing that.
“You should check up on him at some point today. That’ll be a good start.”
"Okay." Astral opened his eyes, slowly sitting up. "Hopefully he won't be… upset with it."
“If he seems really upset, then you just leave.” Emile replied, shrugging.
"Right, of course…" Astral looked in the direction of the room Simon and Mia were staying in, letting out a breath.
“You don’t have to go right now though if you don’t want to.” He said. “Just try and go some time today.”
