"Uh… same as yesterday. Physical training. Practical application."
"Uh… same as yesterday. Physical training. Practical application."
Farah flushed with embarrassment. "Oh… right."
"I'm still kinda tired and sore from yesterday, though, and I don't even know if I'm allowed to participate with my arms like this…"
"How do they feel?" Farah asked quickly.
"Ah… not great, to be honest. They still have this sort of tingly, stinging sensation most of the time." Aiki sighed softly.
"I'm sorry," she murmured, still feeling like it was at least partially her fault.
"It's fine… it's really not your fault. I should've been more careful." Aiki gently rubbed at the bandages and winced. "God… it's so itchy, though."
"And I should've been paying more attention. And not pushed you as hard," Farah countered.
Aiki shrugged. "I'm just not very good yet, I dunno… I'll figure it out." They started to scratch at the bandages a bit. It hurt so bad, but it did alleviate some of the itchiness. The pain made him want to stop, of course, but he couldn't.
Farah plucked his fingers away. "Don't do that," she chided. "It'll start to bleed and make it worse."
"But it's so itchy…" Aiki whined, clenching their hands into fists to resist the urge to scratch at the burns more. He could already feel them starting to bleed through the bandages.
Farah diligently kept them from scratching anymore. "I know, I know." She saw speckles of blood peeking out and sighed. "See?"
Aiki huffed, clearly uncomfortable, and his arms were still itching despite the pain. "Fix ittttt…" They whined. "Is there anything that can help the itching?"
Farah was silent as her eyes glowed, and she grimaced as she created a pain bond.
Aiki relaxed a bit when Farah took some of his pain, although it took a second for them to realize what she was doing. "Farah, you don't have to hurt yourself for my sake…"
"It's alright," she promised. "It doesn't hurt that badly."
Aiki sighed softly. "You know, if it feels the same as it did when I had it, I don't believe you."
"It's alright," Farah repeated. "Let's get to your class."
"Fine…" Aiki led the way outside the building and to the training area from yesterday. As expected, they weren't allowed to participate today with their injuries.
Farah sat where she had yesterday and waited for Aiki to come over once they was done talking to the teacher.
Aiki was pretty huffy when he returned, clearly frustrated that they weren't allowed to participate. His arms were irritated again as well, and the were struggling not to scratch at them.
"Can't Eiji heal them completely?" Farah asked when she noticed his fingers twitching a bit with the need to scratch at his arms.
"Not completely… sometimes wounds need a chance to heal naturally, as well. It's super annoying, though…" Aiki clenched their hands into fists with a sigh.
"Ah, I see," Farah sighed. "And… which one of your classmates is the one you like?" she asked with a knowing grin.
Aiki flushed red at the question, clearly taken aback. "A-Ah? I… um…" They stammered for a couple of seconds, struggling to compose himself. After he did so, they sighed. "U-Um… his name is Oukami. He has sorta shaggy blonde hair. About my height, but stockier…"
