Farah ignored the wrench of regret that twisted inside her at Aiki's suggestion. "Of course, if you'd like," she replied, not slowing her pace.
Farah ignored the wrench of regret that twisted inside her at Aiki's suggestion. "Of course, if you'd like," she replied, not slowing her pace.
"Why don't we spar?" Eiji suggested. "No powers, just like old times. Then I can participate too." Aiki smirked a bit. "Alright, you're on."
Farah smiled a bit as she walked, not that the boys could see it. "I'll watch," she remarked simply.
"Then we both get to fight somebody and not get arrested, too!" Aiki hummed happily, and Eiji nodded in agreement. It didn't take long to get back to the house.
Farah chuckled and shook her head. Once they returned, she excused herself for a moment. She hurried up the stairs to "her" room. She shut the door behind her, took a deep breath, and did what she always did every time she returned to the Akume's (I forgot how to spell it lol) house after being out. She stared at the closed closet door and reached for the handle. Hoping beyond anything, she opened the door and found herself facing nothing but Aiki's sisters' old clothes. She shut it again and sighed quietly.
Aiki and Eiji headed to the backyard to stretch so they wouldn't hurt themselves too badly. Thankfully, the yard was pretty big, so they had plenty of space. Now, their sparring wasn't exactly 'sparring' which was soon evident by Aiki literally just tackling Eiji to the ground.
Farah came outside and burst out laughing at what she saw. She grinned, and her eyes glowed as she pointed her finger at the twins and used her magic to lift Aiki into the air.
"Hey!" Aiki struggled in the air when Farah lifted him, still trying to attack their brother. Eiji crouched down and then jumped up to attack Aiki in the air, grabbing onto them so they were both suspended.
Farah laughed and lifted them both with her magic. She began to walk towards them, grinning as she did so.
Aiki and Eiji both huffed when they were separated, keeping their eyes locked on each other's. "What did you separate us for?" Eiji asked. "Yeah! I was winning!" Aiki insisted, to which Eiji started to bicker with him over.
Farah arched her eyebrows. "I don't know what exactly you were doing, but it wasn't sparring."
"It's our version of sparring! We've done this since we were just kids!" Aiki insisted, and Eiji nodded. "Yeah. You can't be a good hero if you can't take a bit of a beating."
Farah laughed again and lowered them to the ground. "Carry on then."
Both twins grinned, a little bit too eager to beat each other up, and immediately tackled each other again. Their mother looked out the window and noticed them, but didn't do anything to stop it. This was pretty regular behavior for Aiki and Eiji to release some excess pent up energy, after all.
Farah watched them for a moment, then she sat down and closed her eyes. For a moment. Just for a moment. She pretended that she was back in Alfea.
Eventually, both Aiki and Eiji were exhausted and were just collapsed in the grass, panting. Eiji had some scratches on his cheeks and neck, Aiki had a bloody nose, and both of them were pretty disheveled, but neither seemed particularly bothered.
Farah opened her eyes. "Have you two quite had enough yet?" she called out.
"Yeahhh…" Aiki replied, rolling onto his side and rubbing at his nose, which smeared blood across their face. "I guess we should get cleaned up now…"
Farah motioned with her head. "Alright, come on."
It took a bit, but both of them managed to get to their feet and headed inside with Farah to deal with their injuries. Nothing looked too serious, at least.
Farah sighed. "What is wrong with you two?" she asked. Her eyes glowed silver-blue, and she pressed her thumb to a scratch on Eiji's face to cauterize the wound with fire magic.
Eiji winced and whined at the touch, turning his ears back. Aiki shrugged, grabbing a napkin to hold up to their bleeding nose. "It's kinda what we do at this point. It's fun."
Farah arched her eyebrow, moving her thumb gently across Eiji's face to another cut. "Whatever you say…"
Aiki yawned, still holding up the napkin to try and stop the bleeding. Eiji was quieter now, but he clearly wasn't enjoying the process.
"Aiki, go lay down with your head tilted up to get that bloody nose of yours to stop," Farah said. "Last one, I promise," she told Eiji, touching a slightly larger cut on his forehead.
"Fiiine…" Aiki did as they were told, heading over to the couch to lay down. Eiji closed his eyes, wincing when Farah touched his forehead.
"Sorry," Farah murmured, cauterizing his wound as gently as possible. "How does it feel?"
"Mmnh… I think it's okay." Eiji gently touched the wounds and winced again. Aiki was still on the couch.
Farah lowered her hand and smiled. "All done." She walked over to Aiki and looked down at them. "Can you feel it slowing?" she asked. "Or even stopping."
"Uhh… I think it's getting better?" Aiki shrugged, keeping the napkin to their nose even though they'd bled through it by now.
