"English…" Aiki replied softly, looking off of their neighbor's notes to get what they had missed.
"English…" Aiki replied softly, looking off of their neighbor's notes to get what they had missed.
Farah nodded and listened curiously to what the English class was about.
Eventually, the class ended and Aiki gathered their things so they could go to the next class. "How are you enjoying our school?" He asked.
"Honestly?" Farah sighed. "I miss Alfea."
"Yeah, I get it… hopefully it's not too bad here while we're working on getting you back, though." Aiki smiled softly.
The thought made Farah's heart race. God only knew what Rosalind was doing back in the Otherworld without anyone to oppose her.
"Everything is going to be fine, alright? You got me back here, so there's got to be a way to get you back home." Aiki assured Farah.
"Yes," Farah replied shortly. "There is. A gateway ring. An item I do not possess."
"Well… there might be some other way, right? I'm sure there's something we can find, right?" Aiki shrugged.
"Is there any interdimensional work in your world?" Farah asked, intrigued and somewhat hopeful.
"Um… I honestly don't know for sure. I think there's definitely a possibility, although people with interdimensional powers are going to be few and far between." Aiki sighed. "Even just teleportation type powers are pretty rare, so interdimensional would be more so. I don't think we should give up hope, though… we're still looking."
Farah's eyes widened. "What about the boy who sent you into the forest to begin with? What about him?"
Aiki shook his head. "He can only do teleportation. So he can only send people places within our realm."
"How do you know?" Farah asked. She was hopeful for any leads at this point.
"Well… I dunno. That's what his power is officially registered as. I don't think it's possible for him to open a portal in another realm. Not sure we can trust him anyway since he's just a student." Aiki hummed thoughtfully. "We'll want to find someone who's very skilled with their power."
"Like who?" Farah pressed. Each question answered was a potential step closer to the Otherworld.
Aiki seemed a bit uneasy at the pressuring. "I-I don't… I don't really know anyone specific… like I said, I don't know for sure if anyone in our realm has powers like that anyway. We'll have to do more research to see if there's any pros who could help."
Farah nodded thoughtfully as he spoke. "What are we waiting for then?" she asked when they finished. "How can we do research on powers like that?"
"Well, my parents are looking into it while Eiji and I are at school… we're mostly looking on the internet and our general area." Aiki explained. "I don't really know what to tell you."
Farah sighed. "As long as we can look. Something is better than nothing, which is what I thought I had."
Aiki nodded. "I… don't want to get our hopes up too much, you know? It's possible, but it's not super likely, and they'll be hard to find."
Farah lowered her eyes. "Right."
"We should get going now, yeah?" Aiki smiled weakly and turned to go to his next class.
Farah remained silent and followed Aiki through the halls.
They soon made it to Aiki's next class and he sat down at his desk.
