Farah sat beside him. "What is this class?" she asked, looking around the room curiously.
Farah sat beside him. "What is this class?" she asked, looking around the room curiously.
"History. More about heroes and villains and stuff." Aiki shrugged and pulled out a notebook to take notes.
Her eyes lit up. "Would you discuss anything in this class about beings with inter-dimensional travel abilities?"
"Um… not likely, but I guess it's possible? I think people with those kinds of abilities would be kinda hushed up about it so people wouldn't bother them all the time."
Farah's expression became thoughtful. "You're right…" She prayed Saul and Ben and Luna could figure something out to get her back.
"We could always ask my teacher after class, but we definitely want to keep the people who know about this to a minimum."
"Yes," Farah agreed quickly. "As few people as possible can know about the Otherworld. Our entire existence depends on our invisibility in the First World."
"Right. You could always erase her memory after we ask, I guess. Just trying to think of what our options are." Aiki shrugged.
Farah bit her lip. "I don't like doing that. Tampering with people's memories…"
"Yeah, I know… but it might be our best option if you're set on not letting people know about it as much as possible." Aiki explained softly.
I might have to perform a memory removal on Aiki, Eiji, and their parents when this is all over, she thought to herself. "Right," was all she whispered.
"I'll miss you when we get you back home, though." Aiki smiled sadly, looking down at his paper. "I have enjoyed my time with you, anyway."
Farah gently placed her hand on his arm. "I'll miss you too," she said. "I could visit you, though. Maybe."
"Yeah, I'd like that." Aiki hummed softly and glanced up at Farah for a moment before continuing their notes. "I'm sure Eiji would like to see you again too."
Farah smiled. "I'd like to see you both again. And I know Saul would too. He could meet Eiji…" She trailed off quickly as she mentioned Saul. It still hurt. Her last moment with him had been one of fear.
"Yeah, I'm sure he'd love to meet Eiji. Eiji really likes talking to smart people." Aiki laughed softly and continued scribbling down notes. "We'll get you back home, alright?"
Farah nodded, but there was something else on her mind. "Have… you thought about continuing to train and practicing and drawing on other forms of life for your powers?"
Aiki seemed a little uneasy at the question and shrugged. "Um… yeah, probably. I'm sure I'll practice it some more. Maybe I'll practice with Eiji once you're home. Just… just in case."
"Good," she remarked. "I think you'll start to realize how powerful you actually are once you stop limiting yourself."
"Yeah." Aiki laughed nervously. "It just makes me a bit nervous to try out new stuff like that. I don't wanna hurt anyone."
"If you're careful, you won't. That's why you practice," Farah reassured him.
"Yeah, I know… I think I'll feel better if Eiji is there, as well, since he can help if something goes wrong." Aiki sighed.
"That might be a good idea," Farah murmured.
Aiki kept taking notes, and eventually the class ended. "Next is our practical class."
"Practical?" Farah asked. "Practically what?"
