Farah nodded, and her head felt heavy. "Oooooh…" she moaned softly. "I… might pass out."
Farah nodded, and her head felt heavy. "Oooooh…" she moaned softly. "I… might pass out."
"I'm texting Eiji… this isn't good." Aiki pulled out their phone and shot a text to Eiji asking him to come.
No shit, Farah thought, but she didn't say it. She opened her eyes so she didn't pass out now.
"He should be here soon… just try and relax, okay?" Aiki stayed by Farah's side, fidgeting nervously. A few minutes later, Eiji rounded the corner and approached. "What happened?" He asked.
"Not sure," Farah lied. "Just started to feel dizzy."
"Alright…" Eiji knelt beside Farah and gently placed a hand on her shoulder. His eyes glowed as his power took effect, trying to calm and heal Farah simultaneously.
Farah passed out for a split second before, slowly, she began to come to and feel significantly better. "Thank you," she murmured quietly.
Eiji nodded, looking a little dizzy himself after a minute or two. "Yeah, 'course… you two should head to class now. Don't want to be too late, yeah?"
"You alright?" Farah asked, holding her head briefly as she looked at Eiji.
"Yeah, just a bit woozy… happens after I use my power for a bit. It's like Aiki's in the way I expend my energy." Eiji smiled tiredly, staying on the ground for now to recover.
"Sorry," Farah mumbled, brushing hair out of her face. "I don't know what happened." Her gut twisted as she lied again, but she had to.
"It's fine… this idiot gets lightheaded all the time because they don't eat enough." Eiji stuck out his tongue at Aiki, and they returned the sentiment.
Farah smiled weakly. "I know," she remarked. Tentatively, she tried a question. "How are you feeling, Aiki?"
"I'm alright. I'm a little dizzy, but I probably just need to eat something." Aiki shrugged.
It worked. It truly worked. Farah let out a sigh of relief and closed her eyes.
"Are you feeling well enough to go to class?" Aiki asked. "If you need to rest, we can bring you somewhere better…"
Farah considered the offer. She was feeling better, but not quite a "going to class" better. "Just give me a few more minutes," she replied. "I'll be okay."
"Alright… if you're sure." Aiki sighed and Eiji stuck around as well since he was still pretty tired and dizzy.
A few minutes had passed, and Farah was already feeling much better. "Alright, I think I'm ready now," she declared, at least feeling well enough to rise to her feet again.
"Let's get going, then." Aiki stood as well and helped Eiji up. Once Eiji had gathered himself, he waved and left to return to the infirmary.
Farah lifted her hand to wave as well, then she looked to Aiki. "I'm sorry I made you late for class," she apologized sincerely.
"It's fine. I don't mind helping you." Aiki smiled softly and led the way to their class. Thankfully, his teacher didn't make a big show of them being late.
"That feeling is mutual," Farah replied kindly, though she knew Aiki wouldn't understand what she really meant when she said it. She followed him in silently and kept to herself.
Aiki dipped his head as an apology for being late and sat down at their desk. He scribbled down notes as quickly as they could, wanting to catch up.
Farah didn't want to distract Aiki too much, but she whispered briefly, "Which class is this?"
