"Mmmnh… I-I don't want Eiji to see me like this…" Aiki whispered shakily, not looking up. Eiji soon arrived and immediately put a hand on his twin's shoulder to start calming them down. "What happened?" He asked Farah.
"Mmmnh… I-I don't want Eiji to see me like this…" Aiki whispered shakily, not looking up. Eiji soon arrived and immediately put a hand on his twin's shoulder to start calming them down. "What happened?" He asked Farah.
Farah pressed her lips together and sighed before explaining briefly all that had happened.
Eiji had to bite back laughter since Aiki was obviously very upset about it, but it was difficult; it was a pretty funny situation for anyone who wasn't Aiki, after all. "Hey, Ai. We've all done dumb stuff. It's not the end of the world, yeah? You're gonna be fine." Aiki whined in reply, but seemed to be relaxing with Eiji's magic anyway.
Farah smiled, glad that Eiji seemed to be helping Aiki relax. "Thank you," she murmured to him kindly.
Eiji nodded and decided to sit down with them, starting to look pretty tired as well. "I'll help you write something proper out for the next time you talk to him, yeah? Maybe you can help me with Roka as well." He laughed softly, his cheeks lightly flushed. Aiki nodded, quietly resting their head on their brother's shoulder as he calmed them.
Farah looked away now that Eiji was caring for Aiki. She felt a wave of insecurities rushing over herself as she recalled the events of the past two days. Trying to help and failing. Maybe Rosalind was right, and she wasn't good for anything except magic.
Eiji glanced over to Farah and noticed that she was pretty stressed as well. After a bit of consideration, he gently touched her shoulder with his free hand, expending a little extra energy so he could help both Aiki and Farah simultaneously. He was feeling dizzy by now, but he had to help them.
Farah looked over and gently brushed Eiji's hand off her shoulder. "I'm alright," she whispered.
"Gotta make sure you're alright too… you look stressed about something." Eiji smiled weakly and rested his head against Aiki's.
Farah smiled briefly. "I'll be alright," she said, subtly using "will" instead of "am".
Eiji sighed, clearly not convinced. After a while, once Aiki had relaxed, Eiji pulled away and tried to get to his feet, but he collapsed almost immediately. Aiki was startled, understandably, and knelt beside their brother to check on him. "Ei?"
Farah shot to Eiji's side as well. "What happened?" she demanded worriedly. "Are you alright?"
"He's alright… I think he's just overexerted his power." Aiki sighed, checking Eiji's pulse and carefully goading him to wake up. It didn't take him long to stir and open his eyes, still looking a bit pale and out of it.
Farah gently rested her hand on Eiji's arm. "Hey," she murmured. "Relax."
Eiji turned onto his side and curled up a bit, looking exhausted and shaky. His ears were turned back and he was clearly struggling to keep his eyes open. Aiki stayed near him, whining nervously.
"Both of you need to relax," Farah said calmly. Her gaze tracked between Eiji while he recovered and Aiki while he worried.
"Mmnh… can't…" Eiji mumbled. "Gotta… gotta stay awake s-so I can help people…" Aiki shook his head and hugged Eiji tightly. "You've already helped a lot of people. You gotta take a break now…"
"Both of you need to take a break," Farah stated. "Relax."
"We can't… where exactly are we supposed to do that? Aiki asked tiredly.
Farah sighed. “Right here, right now. It doesn’t have to be long. Just relax.”
"Okay…" Aiki sat down beside Eiji with a soft sigh.
Farah watched out for the twins as they rested. They deserved it, both of them.
Eiji closed his eyes and tried to relax, still completely drained. It would take a while for both of them to regain their energy.
Farah slowly relaxed herself as well, but as she relaxed, she expended her energy into Aiki and Eiji to expedite their recovery.
Eiji seemed to be slowly stirring more and improving somewhat. He was still pretty pale and dizzy, but he was more present. Aiki looked tired, and they were pretty quiet, but he was allowing himself to relax.
