Farron followed, assessing their surroundings as they walked.
Farron followed, assessing their surroundings as they walked.
They got closer to the volcano quicker than Fae expected. "We must have been closer than I thought," She said, going into a bakery. She saw something that made her stop dead in her tracks.
“You Alright, Fae?” Farron asked, looking at her slightly concerned.
Fae didn't say anything. Farron followed her gaze to see a red and orange haired elf.
“How?” Farron eventually breathed out, looking form the fire elf to Fae.
Fae's voice caught in her throat. "Azari?" She whispered. No, it couldn't be. Azari died five years ago. But here was a fire elf having the same wounds as Fae's sister. And as the elf turned around, there was no doubt about it.
“That’s not possible. You to.d me she died, Fae.” Farron said, looking between the two elves.
"She did die," Fae whispered, watching the elf laugh as she served customers. The elf started turning, and when she saw Fae she dropped her tray. She ran towards Faelynn.
"Lynniebelle!" She yelled as she enveloped Fae in a hug. When Fae heard the nickname that only Azari had ever used, she hugged back and tears started running down her face.
Farron took a few steps back and ran a hand through his hair, bewildered. Azari was supposed to be dead so how was this possible?
"I thought you were dead," Fae cried.
"I did too. But then I was nurtured back to health by a loving family."
Farron frowned and crossed his arms, “How can you bring someone back from the dead?”
Azari turned and looked at him with slight anger. "They found me on the edge of death. I wasn't dead yet. And who might you be?"
"Farron Utarian, Fae's boyfriend." He said simply, shrugging a shoulder.
"Lynniebelle you have a boyfriend?!" Azari yelled, excited. She went back to essentially ignoring Farron.
(it be funny for farron to let slip that fae was pregnant)
(Ooft, yup)
"Be quiet and careful, don't hurt the child." Farron said before he could stop himself, "Sorry Fae…" He muttered.
Azari looked to Farron and then back to Fae. "Child? Fae, you're pregnant? Why didn't you tell me?" Fae looked at her sister in disbelief.
"Why didn't I tell you? Why didn't I tell you?! I thought you were dead! I thought you died five fucking years ago!"
Farron placed a hand on Fae's arm, "Fae, calm down. It won't do anyone any favours," He said gently, "Azari, is there somewhere we can talk, privately?"
"Uh, yeah. My place. It's right by a doctors clinics."
"Right, let's go there then. We also need to see a doctor anyway."
Azari signed off from her shift and walked out of the bakery, gestured for Fae and Farron to join her.
Farron wrapped an arm around Fae as they followed Azari out of the bakery. He still couldn't quite believe Azari was alive.
Fae was wary. While Azari had called her by her nickname, there was no guarantee that she really was Fae's sister.
Farron made sure to be ready for an attack from anyone at all times. He could tell Fae was on edge and he needed to protect her and their child.
They walked inside Azari's home. The smell of incense burning filled their noses.
“How many incense do you have?” Farron asked, rubbing his neck.
