pretend Valerie left on her own to visit a coffee shop

Arianna crossed the Pomerian Line, “C’mon Valerie.”

“I’m gonna head to a coffee shop, get some reading in,” she grinned, holding up a comic. “Bye.”

“Bye.” Arianna said, waving.

"Ok…" Sage said.

“So, where do you wanna go?” Arianna asked.

"Oh…" Sage said, suddenly realising that it was just the two of them, and immediately feeling massively awkward. "I don't mind… you choose…"

“I can be here anytime you want. You can choose.” Arianna said, she hadn’t realized that it was just the two of them yet.

Sage's mind went blank. What was a nice place to take Arianna? He fought to control the blush spreading across his cheeks as he finally blurted out… "The river?"
He mentally kicked himself. The river? Seriously! Sure, it had a couple of shops, but it really wasn't the nicest place.

“The river?” Arianna asked, “Oh yeah, a really good food place opened up there.”

Still kicking himself about the river thing, Sage headed down the path with Arianna, trying to think of something to say to dispel the palpable awkwardness.

“Are people nice to you? Because when you become a centurion you can’t be sure. Like someone may act nice to you, but amoung their own rank, they’re super rude and disrespectful.”

Sage blinked. What a weird question. "Uh… I guess…" he answered. "I mean, the first and second cohorts can be pretty mean, but most of the people in the 4th are nice."

“Good. Yeah it’s true, they’re so arrogant.” Arianna said, a little annoyed.

(I have to eat dinner. ;-; I’ll be back in around 30 minutes, more or less. Feel free to drag Arianna around. Cya! :<)

"Yeah…" Sage grumbled. "Well, some of them are ok, but there are always those slimeballs like Alexander who give them a bad name. I mean, you're in the second cohort, and you're nice, and I think Cato is too. But alot of them just think they're SO much better than everyone else."
