(Ya that works)
Aubrey quickly ate her breakfast, trying to get her head around the prophecy. It wasn't particularly specific. Meetings meetings meetings. I guess it would be kind of fun to finally go on a quest, get away from the boredom that is this camp.
Sage tapped his fingers absently. He wasn't sure why, but he was nervous about what the Senate would decide regarding the prophecy.
She couldn’t take it, she excused herself from the table and somehow wandered to the forges.
Sage saw Arianna leave and excused himself. He wanted to check up on her, make sure she was ok. He saw in the distance at the forges and went over.
Cato turned around and squinted through the heat waves to see who had come to the forges. To his surprise, it was Arianna, with Sage coming up behind her.
“Hey Cato, whatcha doing?” Arianna asked when Cato looked up.
“Oh. Um,” Cato said. He sighed and replied, “Honestly? I’m making an eavesdropping device.”
"An eavesdropping device?" Sage asked. "What for?"
“So, I dont know about you guys, but I’d like to know what is said in that meeting.”
“Ah! Sage what are you doing here?!” Arianna yelped, turning around. She turned back to Cato and said, “That sounds suspicious.”
"Sorry Ari." Sage answered. "I wasn't following you at all."
He looked back at Cato and winked. "I like the way you think sir."
“Yeah, well, after the whole Octavian thing, I don’t really trust them. But turn me in if you want. I really don’t care at this point. I fI can’t go on this quest, I’m never going to get out of here.”
Aubrey saw three teens standing together, one she recognized as Arianna, a centurion. She decided to walk over. "Hey guys. Whatcha doing?" She asked softly, hand clutching her necklace.
“Wow you all really want to get out of here.” Arianna said, the she looked suspiciously at Sage.
"Hey Aubrey!" Sage said. "Ari, why are you looking at me like that?"
“Yes, well. There’s only so much I can do. I’d rather be useful out there, helping mortals and stuff,” Cato said, returning to the final touches on his eavesdropping device. “Ta-da!” He held it up for them to see. It was a belt buckle.
(I keep forgetting to reload lol)
“Nothing.” She chirped, “I’m going to get a glass of water then get going to the meeting.”
Aubrey smiled. "You really don't need an eavesdropping device, but use it if you want to." She said lightly. "And Arianna, don't listen to the other centurions. They're just jealous of you."
"Ok…" Sage replied, confused at Ari's rapid change of attitude.
"I like the belt buckle Cato. Are you going to wear it Ari?"
“Wait what. Why are they jealous of me? Wait did they tell me something?” Arianna asked, confused to Aubrey. “And Sage, you want me to break a rule?”
“You dont have to,” Cato said quickly.
"Well, it's your choice," Sage said, shrugging, "but if you do, you're going to have to be really careful in case Alexander sees it."
