Sage rolled over in his bed, getting up reluctantly and stifling laughs as he watched the senators struggling into their togas. There was a senate meeting after breakfast.
He went to shower, in an attempt to wake himself up.

Arianna didn’t want to be at the meeting, Alexander would be there. The entire time when she was eating breakfast, she could feel his eyes on the back of her head.

Cato was in the forges when he first heard the sounds of the Senators assembling for the meeting. He was working on a small device that he could conceal in someone’s toga so that he could hear every word that was said during the meeting. He was thinking of asking Arianna if she would wear it, though he wasn’t sure that she would agree.

Sage looked around the dining hall, now fully awake after having a cold shower. Arianna looked really tense. He wondered if that creep Alexander was still giving her trouble.

(Why would Arianna have a toga.)
