"I'm just a leg." Cammy said, waving dismissively as she pushed open one of the doors. "It would be worse if you got lost."
"I'm just a leg." Cammy said, waving dismissively as she pushed open one of the doors. "It would be worse if you got lost."
“Hey, the leg is important. Without the legmwe wouldn’t be able to stand up.” Alex shrugged a shoulder.
Cammy paused her walking, lifting one leg straight up in the air to about mid way and looking over at him. "Look, I'm standing. Anyway," She said, putting her foot back on the ground and continuing. "We'll see."
Alex sighed softly, rubbing at his face with one hand, "Mkay then…" He mumbled, not bothering to even try and argue with her.
"It's funny though," Cammy said, switching topics randomly, something she did fairly often. "Blue's my favorite color. How lucky is that?"
Alex shrugged, "It was a low possibility, then again there was only five lions…"
"Well, yeah, but I could've gotten…Green or something. I don't look very good in green." Cammy mused, scrunching up her nose in thought.
"That's what you're worried about? Not looking good in whatever colour your lion was?" Alex raised an amused eyebrow.
Most of me's worried I wouldn't be able to live up to the expectations, even with Blue. Cammy shrugged, flashing him a grin. "Gal's gotta look good, right? Besides, isn't Green supposed to have a smart Paladin?"
Alex shrugged a shoulder, "Yes. But I don't think anyone could beat Pidge out for smartness."
"That's exactly my point. Imagine if I'd gotten Green, and he'd gotten Blue. It would be a mess." Cammy wrinkled her nose, shaking her head.
“Well, it didn’t happen. So I guess you should focus on what is happening and not might have.” Alex rubbing at the side of his face with his hand, sighing softly.
"Fuck you and your logic." Cammy quipped teasingly, before her eyes landed on another door. "Oh! Let's go see what's in there!"
Alex snorted a little, "I swear if there's any kind of alien in this room I'm going to chop your hands off."
"Okay, rude. How am I supposed to do my makeup without hands? How am I supposed to shoot without hands?" Cammy asked, feigning offense dramatically as she pulled open the door. It was another dark room, this one smaller and filled with what looked like artifacts and paintings and photos.
"You'd get a prosthetic or two." Alex shrugged a shoulder, entering the room. His brows raised and he walked further into the room, not even bothering looking for a light.
"The motor skills would be off. I'd have to relearn everything." Cammy said, her eyes reflecting the light from the hallway for a moment, before she was following after Alex. Her marks glowed softly, giving just enough light to see her face, but beyond that, they weren't much help.
Alex couldn't be bothered with a response as he tried to navigate the darkness. To his surprise, he could see fairly well, kind of like if he was wearing night vision goggles but things were still a little hazy at points.
"Cabinet to your left, careful." Cammy said quietly, slipping in between tables and glass cases. She paused as she came across a glass case full of jewelry, head tilted as she studied the different pieces.
"Yeah, I see it." Alex mumbled. He was more interested in a selection of different blades and weapons on the other side. He walked over and gently ran his fingers over the handles.
"Wonder what the story behind all this stuff is." Cammy said softly, her head tilted slightly. The room was packed with an air of something she couldn't quite place, but was settling with history as the closest she could get.
"You could always ask Allura… but then again she might not like that we've been creeping around…" Alex mumbled, slowly picking up and weighing a blade in his hand. He was very impressed, eyebrows raising at how light it was and wondering how well it would perform in battle.
"It's not creeping, it's exploring. If we're supposed to spend any time here…" Don't you dare. Don't think about that. "Then we might as well get to know the place. Besides, we're being careful." As she said that, Cammy narrowly avoided walking straight into another display case as she made her way to the other side of the one she was looking at.
Alex nodded a little, placing the blade back where it was before following after Cammy, "I guess that's true. I guess we just have to make sure we don't touch anything that looks like it could explode on us…"
"We're on an alien planet, anything could explode and we'd only know it once we're dead." Cammy joked lightly, flashing a grin over her shoulder full of slightly too-sharp teeth and highlighted by the odd reflective quality of her eyes. "Hey, look!" Her attention was once again diverted by a painting on the wall, of what she could only assume was the royal family.
