Soon his song ended and so did the dance. He took a step away, panting but he bowed almost goofily to Cammy, as anyone should after they just ballroom danced.
Soon his song ended and so did the dance. He took a step away, panting but he bowed almost goofily to Cammy, as anyone should after they just ballroom danced.
She muffled her laughter with one hand as she curtsied in response, pushing her hair back after it fell into her face. "Who knew you could dance and sing?"
Alex shrugged, running a hand though his own hair before he crossed his arms over his chest, "No one, apart form you, now."
"That's a lot of secrets for a gal to keep." Cammy quipped, smiling brightly up at him. "You're just lucky I'm good at keeping secrets."
Alex smiled back down at her, "Good. Because if anything I've told you gets out then I swear your tongue will be nailed to one of these pillars."
"Such violent threats. I made a promise, didn't I? A certified Delmar guarantee." Cammy wrinkled her nose at him, unconcerned with the threat.
Alex chuckled a little, "Sorry sorry, I know… It's just… I'm not used to trusting people so the threats come naturally which isn't great…"
"Don't sweat it, man. Make 'em interesting ones and everything's cool." Cammy assured, shaking her head with a laugh.
Alex let out a laugh of his own, punching her lightly in the arm, “That I can do, don’t worry.”
"Watch it!" Cammy complained, grabbing two inches below where he'd hit her on the arm in a dramatic fashion. "I'm fragile!"
Alex held his hands up in a surrender, “Sorry sorry, I didn’t know you were a glass doll.”
"More like a hollow clay doll, but it's still appreciated." Cammy quipped, sticking her tongue out at him with a grin.
Alex chuckled, rolling his eyes playfully, "All right Milady, I'll keep that in mind next time you piss me off when you're being a nonce."
Cammy wrinkled her nose, her whole face scrunching up with the movement. "What the hell's a 'nonce'."
Alex snorted, holding back a laugh, "Nothin' nothin.' Don't worry about it."
"I betcha Pidgey knows. He knows everything." Cammy grumbled, shaking her head. "You can't just call a girl something and then not tell her what it means. I'm not a crumpet like you."
Alex put a hand over his heart, "A crumpet? How dare you bring my nationality into this and I'll have you know crumpets are amazing so I don't take offense to that."
"Brit." Cammy quipped, nudging his shoulder with a snort. "You brought your nationality into this by using a word no one else but a Brit would know."
"Maybe you should be more educated in your insults then, huh." Alex replied, shrugged a shoulder.
"Why would I be 'educated' in British slang? I've already got four languages under my belt, I don't need advanced English." Cammy stuck her tongue out at him again, making a face.
"Alright, whatever, you made your point I guess…" Alex stuck his own tongue out at Cammy, crossing his arms. A strand of hair fell in front of his face and he blew it away.
Cammy snorted, which turned into quiet laughter, muffled by her hand. "I always make my point. Now c'mon, there's more to explore."
Alex rolled his eyes, "This place is huge, how long are we going to take exploring, exactly?"
"However long it takes me to not get lost." Cammy answered easily, turning on her heel with a grin. "You don't have to tag along for all of it though. I just figured pairing off with someone was better than drifting around alone while the others did their thing."
Alex shrugged, following her a second later, "You getting lost would not be good for Voltron. At least if we're together we have a better chance of not getting lost."
