"Am I required, as an ambassador?" He asked, scratching the top of his head and looking down at his bloodstained jeans.
"Am I required, as an ambassador?" He asked, scratching the top of his head and looking down at his bloodstained jeans.
"No, but I want you to come," she called, still searching through her wardrobe. "You're… How tall are you?"
"5'11'. Why do you have men's clothing?"
"No, but there are three more men in this building than women. Fenris is a no go–he's 6'7". Uh, try Carden. He's the shortest of the group I believe. Wait–scratch that. Theo's the shortest, but he's shorter than you. Go to Carden. He's the one who glows in the dark."
He shrugged. "Alright. But you said it's dancing and shit. I have zero skill in any of it."
She laughed. "I'm the one singing and dancing. And Cin. We're the ones going to be on stage in front of a bunch of people."
He shrugged. "Will I have to talk to anyone?"
"Not if you don't want to. Ah, perfect! Go find Carden if you don't want to look like you just got into a fight."
He walked out of her room, immediately lost. He just wandered around, getting a few odd looks. How am I supposed to find someone who glows in the dark when it's fucking bright?
"Get back here Flashlight!" The oddly bird-like screech originated from downstairs, the room next to the sitting area where they first entered.
He turned to the sound, finding his way to the sitting area.He rubbed his face in a mix of awkwardness and frustration. "Has anyone seen Carden? Tess said he might have a change of clothes for me."
Demitri happened to be one of the ones sitting there. He pointed towards a guy with odd swirling tattoos all over his body running away from a pissed off red-headed girl. The guy spotted Runner and instantly swung himself behind him, using Runner as a human shield.
He looked over at Demitri, giving him a singe nod before walking after them . "Can you please not kill him? I need some clothes for that concert thing."
The red head sneered at Runner. "Fine. But only because my cousin likes you."
Carden poked out from behind Runner. "I thought the godly side doesn't count?"
She snarled at him and he retreated back with a snicker.
He rubbed his eyes and blinked a few times. What did I just get myself into?
"Welcome to the Vanguard," Demitri said dryly. "Where everyone tries to kill each other on a daily basis."
Carden stepped out from behind Runner. "I'll lend you some clothes. Be right back." He went upstairs to get some clothes for Runner to borrow.
He looked around the sitting room while he waited, rubbing his face as he did so.
In record timing, Carden thundered down the stairs with some decent clothes for Runner. "Here. These should be good." He pointed to the other side of the room. "There's a bathroom right there."
He followed the hand and walked into the bathroom, locking the door behind him and looking at the clothes with a frown.
((What would they be?
((Just a clean tee and some dark jeans. Carden's not really one for fancy stuff. I'm gonna have to go, though. I don't have school tomorrow, so I'm probably going to be available most of the time.))
((Alright! see you tommorrow!
((See ya!))
He sighed, quickly changing and tossing his old clothes in the trash, then walking out of the bathroom in search for Tess.
She was leaned against the stairwell, talking to Cinthia. They both were dressed up.
Cinthia finally managed to tame her unruly curls, braiding one side of her hair into cornrows and leaving the other as sleek as her tight curls would let her. She wore a black asymmetrical long sleeved shirt that stopped just below her chest–her burned arm was covered while the other was bare due to no sleeve–and black skin tight pants and boots.
Tessa was a little more flashy. Her golden waves laid neatly on her back and was partially pulled up, braids coming from the font of her head wrapping around the tie that held some of her hair. She wore the same outfit as Cinthia but her shirt was sparkly and gold–and the only sleeve was on the opposite side–and her pants and boots were a cream color with some bedazzling. Large hoops fell from her ears.
He felt a bit under dressed, but still approached, running a hand across his face.
