Fiercely guarded and distant preferring to stay far away. Scared of being friends with someone due to severe trust issues. Desensitised to violence and finds it all too easy to take someone's life. General disobedience because of her difficulty with trusting authority figures, her lack of experience with people in general means she has poor social skills and can't quite understand how someone ticks quite as well as someone like Hana or Cece.

El is fiercely loyal to her close friends once she makes them and can kill with the simplest household object but she cares deeply but she's afraid of showing it.

El never tells anyone about her past, not even Finn. All people know is she was taken as a child and this broke something inside her. Any real knowledge of what her kidnappers did was not gone into by the news, all they needed was a sob story and the Delacourts needed some good publicity so she ended up there. She went to the Academy to look out for her brother, she never expected who she would meet and what might happen. El is a mystery, her mystique is something everyone seems to be attracted to.
