(Good idea)
(I keep getting application errors on this site lately. I'm not even sure if this message is gonna make it to you, but just so you know what's going on if I'm not around for a while.)
(yeah it's been doing the same to me.maybe a computer bug they have to fix)
(Yeah,it’s happening on my IPad to)
(Huh. Glad it's not just me, I guess. Hopefully it gets resolved soon.)
(yup fingers crossed)
(Yup. Also Carys, I think it's you turn when you get a chance)
(Nope, I replied after you wen to bed!)
(Wait, what? was that the one where you asked Blake to help?)
(Cuz I replied to that, on the previous page.)
(I'll leave you with that unsettling thought, gotta go to bed now)
(Bye)
I did as I was told and made my way out the room, glancing back at Crash’s body probably for the last time. I glared at Blake and left him alone, returning to my room and praying that Luke and Nathan made made it in safe.
(This might be a good spot to switch over to Luke and Nathan, speaking of.)
Down in the corridors of the ground floor, Luke and Nathan suddenly heard a low buzz, like a very loud bass note, coming from somewhere up ahead. A second later a wave of cold air passed over them, like the aftershock of an explosion. Luke halted and looked around warily, massaging his chest.
"That kinda hurt," he muttered. "and it didn't sound good. Something must be going on over there. Let's pick up the pace."
(Just gonna drop this here for @Amber, seeya in a bit)
(Hello? Is anyone there?)
(sorry sorry I'm here)
"I don't know what that was…" Nathan pondered, hauling the young guard into a nearby cupboard. "I agree, let's keep going."
(Ah, good, my computer isn't broken XD)
They quickly followed the hallway, trying to be as fast and quiet as possible. But no matter how far they ran, the hallway never ended. It just stretched out like they were on a treadmill, not really going anywhere.
"Well, this isn't going anywhere useful," Nathan deadpanned. "It's charmed.""
"I'm not finding it very charming," Luke sniped back, coming to a halt. "Maybe we should try one of these doors?" The hallway was lined with identical wooden doors.
"Eh. I guess it's all we can do." Nathan shrugged and started trying every door. One of them had to lead somewhere, right?
At first, all they found was blank rooms with nothing in them. At the seventh door, however, there was a sudden gust of powerful wind when you opened it. Sunlight stung Nathan's eyes. When he adjusted to the light, he saw a mountain rang, far below. Clouds raced by on either side. The doorway hovered in midair, with nothing supporting it.
Luke whistled. "Okay, so I think that was a warning shot. Danged gods."
"Should we check this out?" he asked, mesmerized by the view. He couldn't take his eyes off of it. He took a step forward into the expanse of crisp white snow, not feeling the angry bite of the cold.
"Ah-ah-ah." Luke took Nathan's arm and pulled him back to safety. "First of all, we're not dressed right. I'm surprised we can even breath up here. Second of all, Blake is obviously trying to distract us from our real goal, which is finding Crash and Maddie. We have to get them out of this place, remember?"
Nathan frowned and shook his head. "Right, of course. Yes. Let's keep looking."
He tried a door a couple spots down, and it swung open onto a dark staircase. "What about this?"
