(leaving this for when you get back)
Luke dusted off his hands. "Welp, that's that then. Let's find another staircase and find this dining hall sharpish." He nudged Vin with his toe. "Catch ya later, pal. Do me a favor and stay away from Maddie in the future."
"What?" Vin looked confused. "Why?"
Luke shook his head. "Let's just go," he muttered to Nathan and ducked through the door into the next room.
(in fact, I think this could also work as a cut-off if Carys comes back first.)
(Brb, be back in an hour or so)
(Hey don’t know when I will next be on so here is something I guess)
I sat down by a near by wall and breathed in a nd out a few times. Teleportation took all the energy out if me. I watched as Crash got ready to face off against the Russian girl and winced when she flipped the machete.
(Well hello there. Anyone here? I won’t be around for long)
(Yay! Lemme smash out a response real quick)
Crash didn't seem alarmed, but steadied himself and locked eyes with Sorina. Slowly, the two of them began to circle each other. Neither of them spoke.
The other shadow spirits fell silent despite themselves and gathered on the other side of the glass, watching. You noticed Blake standing a little apart from the group, his brow furrowed slightly.
(I'm gonna break this scene into pieces, you can add reactions or not in between bits ^^)
(Ok)
I stood up and joined the end of the group closest to Blake. I watched silently like the others.
The two fighters paced around the room for another few moments, wordlessly sizing each other up. Then Crash stopped and faced Sorina full on. She stopped as well. They leaned toward each other slowly, relaxed and completely tense at the same time.
Without any warning, Crash leaped forward, letting out a loud roar. Sorina lifted her blade to meet him. They tangled violently, becoming a blur of red and black. It was impossible to tell who was winning, or what was going on at all. The shadow children shouted and cheered for Sorina.
Beside you, Blake frowned more deeply. "Sorina," he said very quietly, "does not end a fight until her opponent is dead. I'm a little worried for your friend, Maddie."
I looked up at Blake and hissed “Then stop it, I don’t want him to die!” I cursed under my breath. This shouldn’t had happen and it was my fault. I cursed even more.
He glanced at you with an unreadable expression. "I do not believe I could make them stop at this point. They are enjoying it too much." He paused, thinking. "Oh, very well. I'll give Crash his powers back. That should level the field a bit." He reached into his pocket and took out a small vial filled with multicolored liquid that swirled as if it were boiling. "There you are." He handed it to you. "Open it, please."
I did as I was told and opened the bottle. The liquid filled the air and zoomed to Crash, knocking him in the stomach.
It went straight into him, and he stepped back in surprise. Then a light rekindled in his eyes that you hadn't noticed was gone before. He yelled, morphing into a black canine creature the size of a tractor. His fur rippled like it was alive, and his eyes were a pure, frosty white.
Sorina stepped away to catch her breath, still showing no signs of emotion. She wiped away a smear of black blood on her cheek and dove back toward Crash, her blade flashing. He came to meet her, and the fight began once more.
To your eyes, the only thing that had changed was Crash's fighting style. He shifted form almost constantly, from human to dog to winged human, snow and ice whirling around him. He landed a blow with one giant paw, sending Sorina across the room. She coughed and staggered to her feet, holding her side.
I smiled slightly. He was winning.
(I’ve gotta go, I’ll get back when I can)
Crash settled into human form, panting. He looked as happy as you'd ever seen him. His eyes shone, and he grinned with the triumph of a warrior after a battle for his honor. The energy of the room seemed to circle him, like light around a young star. The other shadow spirits were quiet now, watching him with dark expressions.
"There," Crash said loudly. "I'm back. I'm me. See, shadow girl? I'm stronger that y–"
Sorina's head came up. Her assault rifle was suddenly in her hands. Lifting it, she emptied the barrel into Crash's chest.
He jerked back. His expression slowly turned from elated to shocked, then confused. He swayed, lifting a hand to his chest. The room was so quiet, you thought you could hear his heartbeat as well as your own.
At long last, Sorina smiled. Her eyes were flakes of scarlet flint.
"No," she said, with vicious relish. "You are not."
And Crash fell to the floor, unmoving.
(dabs And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what you might call a cliffhanger, since I have to go to bed in about five minutes. XD)
“NOOOOOOOO!” I screamed. I ran up an banged my hands against the glass “Blake, move the glass” I said tears streaming down my face already.
(Dang it and please, never, ever dab)
(loool fine XDD I'll do one more turn and then head off to bed)
Blake didn't answer, but the room silently melted back into its original configuration. The shadow spirits crowded around Sorina, congratulating her. Their laughter was like discordant bells. Behind them, Blake stood like a statue, watching.
And Crash still didn't move.
(Idiot XD goodnight)
“Lonan, Please,” I begged, as I watched Crash’s unmoving body
Finally he stirred, just slightly. "Enough," he said. There was something strange in his voice that made the shadow spirits stop cheering and turn to look at him apprehensively.
When Blake spoke again, all traces of good humor and friendliness lad left him. "Enough games. Return to your duties, all of you." The shadow spirits traded glances, then vanished one by one.
Blake then turned to you. "It seems I've treated you as a guest for far too long," he said coldly. "You will return to your rooms and wait there until you're needed."
