“It’s alright,” she said, watching him curiously. “Is he deaf? I’ll have to learn some sign language, then.”
“It’s alright,” she said, watching him curiously. “Is he deaf? I’ll have to learn some sign language, then.”
August recognized the word deaf and nodded in response to the princess, rubbing at the back of his neck.
Charlie nodded with August, still studying the girl in front of her. Was she a twin too?
Genie saw a group of people talking in the palace. She shouted at Gabby, "I think I found it!"
She ran up to the others, "Hello!"
“Hello, Miss,” Noa said. “What is your name?”
"I'm Genevieve," she answered, "And you guys are?"
August turned his attention to the two other girls who ran up, but they spoke too fast for August to know what they said. He glanced at Charlie, arching a brow in question.
"Charlotte and August Abbott." Charlie replied, motioning to her twin.
“I’m Princess Noa, Miss,” She said, dipping her head.

"Well it's wonderful to meet all of you," Genie sighed, "I assume I'm in the right place."
“Must be,” She said amiably. “My sister will be along in a little.”
Gabby went ahead and introduced herself as well. "My name is Gabriela Zimmerman, but you can call me Gabby. I was born a few minutes after my sister Genie here, so technically I'm the youngest." Her tone was even more perky than usual, the nervousness making her giddy.
August managed to catch their names and gave the two a quick, friendly smile, hands fidgeting with his sleeve.
//gtg, bye
Noa’s name was called, and she turned around. “Nice to meet you, everyone. I’ve got studies now. Bye.”
"Yep, I'm older," Genie smiled at Gabby. She could tell the other was nervous, "Do you know where we're supposed to go?"
(Gabby talks really fast she's going to be a nightmare for August)
Gabby shrugged. "I'm not sure." She took a few seconds to look around at the area they were in. It was desolate, but also beautiful.
"Then this is going to be fun," Genie smiled.
(Lmao, my poor deaf boy)
August had no clue what Gabby had said, but he could understand Genie. He frowned at her word choice. Fun? People could die soon, he wouldn’t say that was fun. He glanced at Charlie and made a few quick motions with his hands. ‘I don’t think this is fun.’
"Should we just…wait here? Maybe someone will come along and tell us what to do." If she was being perfectly honest, Gabby had no idea why she was here. She heard about how sets of twins with powers had to go to the Lost Cities to do some…test, but that's where here knowledge of this stopped.
Chakuro smiled graciously at the new twins who'd arrived. "The header of the games will be speaking at tonight's ball."
He leaned in closer, "It's not safe here, meet me in Elm Woods, the fifth marked tree directly after the ball."
Gabby backed away from the strange man. "No thanks. I prefer to not die in the forest with a creepy stranger."
"You have an interesting attitude for someone who's going to die soon." Chakuro flipped his goggles back on, "If you would rather be killed in the arenas than be helped by me, it's fine." he turned and sauntered away, springing his wings to their full length.
(just wondering but, mind if I join?)
"Wait, wait what?" Gabby looked around frantically. "We're dying in the arena?"
"Didn't you know?" he asked, tilting his head, "The only way they'll let someone leave is of that person kills everyone else and claims the title of king or queen."
