August nodded quickly in response. He stepped aside to pick up their bags, nudging Charlie gently to follow him. He left without saying goodbye, not wanting to speak with his mother anymore as he headed out to the carriage.

Chakuro played with his goggles, slipping them over his eyes and climbing to the top of the castle balcony where he was supposed to talk to the twins. He launched off, rocketing into the air and beating the wind with his wings. He settled onto the ground, leaving the chancellor who was still on the balcony and saluting to the twins who were there.
Charlie followed after him slowly, her hazel eyes focused on the ground. She hated their mother. She continued to tell herself that she shouldn't, that hatred wasn't right, but she did. She hated her. Charlie and August had practically raised themselves, learning to never rely on their parents.
Noa watched the new king, interest in her dark pink eyes.
( If you want to add this in, I feel like Charlie and August used to play soldier when they were younger and when their parents weren't home. Like they would make small illusions of fights, knights, etc. and maybe they had a small little rhyme, like each of them saying a line one after each other;
Twins to the last enemy.
Twins to the last fight.
Twins to the last hour.
Twins to the last breath.
Like something they would say as they fought off these illusion armies. Just like a little game they would play )
Noelle took a deep breath and walked out to Noa. "Whatcha doing?" She asked softly, rubbing her forearm.
Eventually, they arrived at the palace grounds. August got out of the carriage, helping Charlie out and collecting their bags. He would prefer to sign, but his hands were full. “Where are we supposed to go?” He asked in his normally slow tone.
(Oh my god yes, that’s so cute)
Chakuro held his breath, walking to the center of the grounds and sitting down. His wings curled around himself and he decided to lay down on the stone and wait until the others got here.
(Oh my god yes, that’s so cute)
(It is cute! ^-^)
"They said we need to head towards the courtyard. . . " Charlie said, trailing off as she clutched one of her bags. She looked up at the looming castle towers, feeling her mouth hand open at the sight. It was amazingly huge compared to anything she had ever lived in.
(Gotta go, will be on tomorrow though..)
August began walking along side Charlie, an anxious feeling in his stomach. He bit the inside of his cheek as he looked up at the castle looming in the near distance.
The ground was cold and hard and Chakuro's shirt kept riding up, exposing bare skin to the freezing concrete.
( K, see ya soon!)
Charlie straightened her posture, focusing her hazel eyes on everything around her as they walked towards the courtyard. She noticed a few pairs of twins, some identical, some looking like complete opposites.
He blew away his rainbow hair from his green eyes (with gold flecks) and sat up, noticing new arrivals.
Noelle took a deep breath and walked out to Noa. "Whatcha doing?" She asked softly, rubbing her forearm.
"New king," she murmured back, still watching Chakuro. "He's been acting kinda weird for a king - I don't think he's ever done this before."
Noelle nodded as followed Noa's gaze.
Chakuro took his goggles off of his eyes and stared at them, noting the dried blood at the corners. Aita's blood. These were Aita's goggles.
"My lord," she started, walking over to Chakuro. "Perhaps you would like to greet your guests?"
"Guests? Right." Chakuro stood up and brushed the dust off of his shirt. "298,876 years ago, the first twin battle arena thing took place. Today is another one. The last one alive wins. Blah, blah, blah, and other stuff. I became king a few hours ago, under mysterious circumstances."
He leaned in close, keeping the chancellor from hearing, "It's not safe here, meet me in the Elm Woods, fifth tree that was marked in two hours. Do you guys understand?"
Noelle have a small nod, still not feeling the greatest.
Charlie watched the boy curiously, admiring his wings and horns. She could weave an illusion of them too and look like him, but she decided against it. Not in front of all these people.
She blinked and nodded, acting as if she hadn't heard what he'd said afterwards. "Are… all of us required to do so? It'd be so bloody."
Chakuro passed the twins, whispering to meet him in Elm Woods, the fifth tree to all of them.
( I gtg, but I'll be back later )
