“I, uh, went to the bathroom,” he lied again. “I just didn’t want to go to the one near the detention room. So you were watching the fight while you were supposed to be in detention? That’s why you ended up with it in the first place.”
“I, uh, went to the bathroom,” he lied again. “I just didn’t want to go to the one near the detention room. So you were watching the fight while you were supposed to be in detention? That’s why you ended up with it in the first place.”
Vincent struggled to contain a laugh, of coarse they didn't know he knew but, oh it was just so funny listening to their excuses, " Well that did cut your detention date short didn't it, Kinda funny how both of you were late." He causally hinted studding his nails, if any one were looking closely they could have sworn there was a bright green hint behind his blue eye's.
(This RP Makes me so happy every time I see some one has responded, it's just so pure )
Kelton, completely oblivious to Vince’s sneaky laughter, turned to Mari. “You know, you’re one of my best friends, so I’m giving you this advice because I care. Show. Up. To. Detention.”
Mari rolled her eyes. "Nah, I think I'd rather watch the superheroes save the city while destroying a giant robot thanks." She leaned up against a wall, crossing her arms and smirking.
"Or you could just not be in detention in the first place you know, then you get to watch the entire thing from the roof." Vincent added offhandedly
Kelton held his hand out in agreement with Vince. “Now there’s an idea,” he replied sarcastically. “But then again, you’d have to be on time for stuff, and I don’t know if you can do that.”
"True," Mari agreed. "But the way I think of it, I'm never late, you guys are early! Either that or I just get to arrive fashionably late to everything! Either way, I'm always in the center of attention when I get there, and I get to rub it in people's faces that I got to sleep more than they did!"
Kelton rolled his eyes. “Or, you’re just not punctual,” he replied, and chucked a pillow in her direction. “Anyway, I’m hungry. I’m gonna go see what’s in the refrigerator. Be right back.”
Mari caught the pillow, grinning, and flung it towards his back which was disappearing out the door. "Bring me something!" She called after him. "Preferably something sweet!"
He peeked back in from behind the door. “But you’re already here,” he replied without missing a beat. Then he disappeared into the hallway and down the stairs. Actually he went to collect his thoughts after lying so much. But he’d find something to eat too.
Mari giggled at his response, managing to keep her cool until Kelton had left the room. When he was gone, her calm exterior vanished and was replaced with giggling happiness.
“Did you hear that!” She exclaimed, turning to Vince. “Did you hear what he said!”
Kelton, who couldn’t hear the squealing from downstairs, opened the freezer door and stuck his head in there, then came out with a bucket of Neapolitan ice cream. Then he went over and grabbed some cups and spoons. He stayed down there a couple of minutes, clearing his head.
Vincent nodded and patted her hand, "Very touching, he'll be proposing next I'm sure of it, then you two will go get you're own house with a cat and two hamsters and three children." he added, It really was frustrating some times keeping their Identities secret from each other.
(Omg that's the same thing Marinette said when she was talking about Adrien I love it)
"I don't want hamsters, they're too small," Mari said dismissively. "But did you hear that! He called me sweet! Oh my god, I don't even know what to think right now!" She paused. "He could've been saying it as just a friend though. That makes more sense. I mean, of course he sees me as a friend, why would he like me, like me? He probably acts that way with all his friends," she rambled, covering her face with her hands. Peeking out, she looked to Vince. "Sorry. You probably didn't come here to listen to me rant about boys who may or may not like me."
(that was the Idea)
After grabbing some chips and pop tarts that he found in the back of the pantry, he collected his stash and brought it all upstairs.
“So, I’ve got ice cream, chips, and pop tarts. I call one of the pop tarts since there are only two left.” He spread the stuff out on his desk.
"Ice cream!" Mari cheered, immediately grabbing the tub and a spoon before shoving a spoonful of the chocolate into her mouth. "Mmmm." Her eyes fluttered closed in delight, savoring the sweet flavors. Through a new mouthful of ice cream she told Kelton, "K, I love you so much right now." She was so focused on the ice cream that she didn't realize what she said until it was too late to take it back, and her cheeks reddened as she waited for his reply.
He beamed at her, completely oblivious to Mari’s embarrassment. “Yeah, I know.” He grabbed a pop tart and stuffed about half of one in his mouth. “I love me too,” he said with a mouthful of pastry.
He snatched a cup from the desk and scooped a huge amount of ice cream into it. “Moms probably gonna kill me but whatever, I needed this today.”
Seeing that Kelton didn’t respond to or even realize what she meant, pushed her back into her playful, teasing, self. “Aww what happened love? What was so bad that you need ice cream huh?”
He shrugged. “Nothing happened, i just really like ice cream.” Then he turned his attention to Vince. “You seem to know absolutely everything, so I’ve got a difficult question for you: who do you think that robot belonged to? The one that attacked the town today?”
Vincent shrugged, "Probably some sort of maniac genius who was fired from the corporation that owns that building and now holds a grudge and is taking revenge for stolen Idea's." He said, calmly selecting a pop tart and biting into it.
He lifted his eyebrows in surprise. Of course, he had asked Vince because he always knew the answer to everything, but he didn't expect such a detailed answer. "Wow, that was extremely specific. But I'll take it," he replied with a shrug. "Actually, that might explain a lot. Now there's motivation for the destruction that at least makes some kind of sense. I think there could me more to that, though. Like why specifically a robot? The building was an electrical company's headquarters, so he likely knew a lot about how to construct a robot. Plus, he's filthy rich, so he had the means to actually create it. But even if it wasn't specifically him, maybe he made a deal with someone."
Kelton had forgotten for a moment that he wasn't talking to his superhero friends (or at least he didn't think he was), but he immediately realized his mistake. He tried to cover it up. "Well, it doesn't really matter anyways," he said. "I guess it's all over now."
Vincent shrugged again, "Or I'm wrong and all of those clue's lead to no where." He added finishing off the pop tart. He never bothered hiding his ability to figure things out, it was as much a part of his day to day identity as it was a part of Snow.
