His face turned serious. “I’m sorry, Nova, I really didn’t mean anything by it, honest,” he said and stepped back. As much as he didn’t want to, he would have to respect her boundaries. She didn’t like him like that.
Stop making a fool out of yourself like that, he thought to himself.
(Yeah I think snow should give to to them too)
Nova sighed. "I know you didn't. But we can't really say things like that you know? Protecting the cities our responsibility, and it's already really hard. Imagine how much harder It'd be if the villains knew our loved ones? They would be in danger, and that's not a risk I'm willing to take. But… I'm sorry for yelling at you. I'm not really mad, just cautious. And scared. We know we can defeat anything thrown our way now, but if the villains know who we are, I'm scared they'll think of something we can't beat."
NO! COME ON YOU IMBECILES! Snow thought, "Well now that e're done arguing over that here." Snow tossed a small object at his hero friends, "We can communicate better with these." Each hero now held a small circle, tapping the circle twice would activate a hologram key board that they could send messages to each other with, the hologram is only visible by the user, you could tap the circle once and it would become an ear piece and they could talk to each other.
"Ooh thanks." Nova admired the gadget, turning it over in her hand and looking at it from all sides. Hers was silver and gold which matched her suit, and as she tapped on it… nothing happened. "Um, Snow how do you work these things?"
Peri didn’t reply to any of what Nova or Snow said, he just caught the object and started flipping it over in his hands, trying to figure it out himself. He pressed the top twice and a small, blue keyboard hologram popped up. “Sweet,” he said as he started using his fingers on the keyboard.
"How did you do that?" Nova, who didn't see what he had done, leaned over to Peri and put her head close to his, not realizing what her closeness would do to him. She looked at his circle, but didn't see anything different. "What did you do, by the way?"
When she leaned over to him, he froze and widened his eyes. Goodness, she was so pretty. He could get lost in her eyes all day. “I, uh, just,” he mumbled a bit quietly before he got himself together. He swallowed, hard. “Just press the top twice.”
Nova shot him a weird look, but didn't comment on his stuttering. "Thanks!" She tapped the top two times, and a silver keyboard appeared. "Oh cool!" She poked at the hologram, grinning when the letters popped up. "This is awesome Snow!"
(Hi, I'm going camping for a few days so I'm not going to be able to respond, but that doesn't mean you guys can't!)
Kelton nodded half heartedly. “Yeah, thanks.” He didn’t make eye contact with either of them, he just kept fiddling with the little thing. Could they really expect him to be okay when the love of his life just turned him down, again?
(Hi, I don't want to pressure either of you into responding but I really like this rp and I'd like for it not to die please!)
(Hey is it okay if I post another response then? Bc I don’t want this to die either)
(Yeah of course! Ideally after your previous one Relsey would've responded, but I'm curious to see what else you come up with!)
“Can we use these to communicate when some of us aren’t transformed? Because that would be really helpful. We could alert each other when there’s a disaster instead of just waiting for everyone to show.”
Snow nodded, "That's the idea, but be careful not to lose them." He warned, "I can track them down but that's just no fun for anyone involved."
“Alright, cool,” Peri nodded as he continued to fidget with it. After a while, he tapped the circle twice to close it, and turned to his fellow hero friends. “Well, this was fun, but I gotta go. I’ll see you guys later.”
He didn’t actually have anywhere to go, he just wanted to get away from her. It was too much for him.
Snow watched him go, glad he hadn't questioned how he would find them, logically that would mean that Snow would be able to figure out who they were out of super hero form, but because Snow already knew he didn't think It would be an issue, "You should go to Nova, you have some homework to finish."
"Alright," Nova said distractedly, watching Peri leave. Did I do something wrong? She definitely noticed his mood change, but couldn't figure out what had caused it. She was so distracted with that thought she almost didn't realize what Snow had said. Key word: almost. "Wait Snow how do you know I still have homework to do? I never told you."
(Ooh you guys I had an idea. What if we have a dance at their school, and Mari asks Kelton? I feel like Peri's gotten all the heartbreak so far and want to give Mari a turn. She could ask, and he could say yes just as friends maybe?)
(Okay, we could make it painfully obvious hat he meant just as friends and she’s too nervous to clarify and just goes with it? Also I think a response written by me right about now would be pointless so I’ll just wait on Relsey)
Snow winked, "I know every thing remember it's kinda a talent of mine." he then gracefully back flipped off the building and nailed a super hero pose before finding a place to revert back into his normal clothes. Vincent strolled through the city walking his way home watching as clustered apartments turned to cute little individual homes. he stopped to admire the city grown and cared for plant life next to the side walk, before continuing on his way's stopping in front of a massive gate. Vincent climbed the gate, and dropped to the other side, home at last.
(Sounds good. Mari definitely needs some heartache and I think being at a dance with someone she's in love with but knowing he doesn't love her back (as Mari at least) will be good. Terrible for her, but good)
(Vince is here for emotional support for both parties, and also to be extremely frustrated at them for being idiots)
