Mari gave the corner had disappeared around a weird look. Kelton always did that, rushed off during villain attacks. He always said that he was scared of them, and although she found that a little odd, she couldn't give that thought any more time. She ran off in the opposite direction, tugging on her necklace. The star charm hanging on it would change her clothes into her superhero suit, with the press of the button in the center. With a sigh, thinking of the detention date she wouldn't be attending, she pressed the button.
As the black and purple fabric adjusted around his body, he thought about his fellow super heroes. His fellow super heroine, to be exact. And how excited he was to work with her. But there wasn’t too much time to worry about that.
As soon as his suit was finished, he ran to the nearest door and flew out to where the ruckus was coming from. The city was crowded, so they would have to try their best to work around that.
Her gold and silver suit spread across her body, and a smile spread across her face as it always did. She loved being a superhero, loved being able to help people, loved spending time with her team. Nova sprinted out the closest door, weaving around people as she tried to find the source of the earthquakes.
Imperium settled himself on top of a building, surveying the mess from above and waiting for his fellow heroes. If they didn’t come soon, he’d do what he could to help. But he worked well with the others, and he was praying they’d show up.
Nova spotted the black and purple suit of Imperium crouched on top of the nearest building, and got an idea. Smirking, she used the winds to raise herself up, landing silently behind him. She felt her grin growing wider as she approached him, being careful not to make any noises. Then, with one quick movement, she jumped, throwing her arm around his shoulder as she shouted, "Peri!"
He jumped back, startled by her appearance. “Hiya Nova,” he said, making a quick recovery. “You look great, as usual.”
She winked at him. "Thanks. You don't look too bad yourself."
He almost fell over, but managed to keep himself together. “Honestly it’s a bit too early in the morning to be fighting super villains, but you ready to kick some butt? I’ve got previous obligations, so I guess we should try to make this quick.” He huffed. “We might just have to start without Snow.”
Snow spotted the rest of his team and landed gracefully next to them, "You two would make the worlds best power couple. Nice to see you again it's been an oddly uneventful week hasn't it." the Prince pointed to a plume of dust that was rising not far off, "Think that's where the villain is?"
"I think you're right." Nova stretched, a smirk stretching across her face. "I'm so ready to kick some super villain butt!"
Imperium tried his best to hide the blush that betrayed him and spread on his cheeks at that comment.
“Hm, the spot where smoke is coming from and people are running from? That just might be it. You want me to go invisible and check it out?”
"Can I come too?" Nova asked eagerly. "I'm really in the mood to take down some bad guys."
Snow grinned, he really had missed his super friends, "I don't have any strategies popping into my mind but I'll let you know when one occurs to me, Imperium go check it out from a close up, Nova use your wind isolate the smoke, we don't want the civilians breathing that nasty in." Snow kicked his power into high gear taking in his surroundings, "That's all I have for now, I need to see the villain to know what to do."
"You got it, Your Majesty!" Nova bowed sarcastically, grinning at him. "Let's make this a quick one."
"Oh? Was the mighty Nova interrupted doing something important?" Prince grinned
(I feel like Vince knows who they are, but hasn't said anything to either of them, Is that alright? I feel like he's just causally be dropping hints all the time and they're both just super oblivious )
(Omg that'd be amazing, please do that)
(I shall begin dropping many, many hints from now on)
"As a matter of fact I was," Nova told him, folding her arms. "What's it to you?"
Snow shook his head smiling, "Nothing, I have a feeling our invisible friend feels the same way, Now lets get a move on we don't have all day and I can't see our bad guy through all this smoke."
"What is that supposed to mean?" Nova shouted as they took off running toward the smoke.
Peri flew close to the ruckus, careful not to get in harms way. Sure, he was invisible, but his body was still tangible. So the smoke could form around his body, or he could get hit by flying objects.
It looked like there was some sort of robot that was causing the destruction, but he didn’t see anyone that might be behind it.
Snow began traffic control, leading civilians out of harms way, He sliced through bits of concrete that were whirling around and escorted the young and old to safety.
Nova sighed at his silence and began controlling the wind, pushing the smoke and smaller bits of concrete away from the people. She had no idea where Imperium was, but she hoped he was finding out what was causing all of this. Finally realizing what she could do, she contained all of the smoke inside a big bubble of air, giving them a much clearer view of the chaos in front of them.
Snow breathed in the fresh good air glad that Nova had finally contained it, now he could get a better look at the one causing the problems. He quickly found his way to the top of a near by building and took a look at the villain, From what he could see there was a large robot tearing away at the side of a building, the large skyscraper was teetering as it's foundation was ripped away. Vincent's mind began flooding with information, the robot had a small door on the left side and a similarly small control room just inside that door. he quickly began formulating a plan. The small size meant the operator was probably a child, something about this particular building must have upset the controller and it was now being torn to shreds. "Nova! Imperium! I've got a reading."
