Spyke walked up to the door. From the looks of it, the place was empty. He walked in.
Spyke walked up to the door. From the looks of it, the place was empty. He walked in.
“I think there’s something else in here.” Lucille said.
Katie walked into the warehouse, scanning the dark. There was a strange feel to it.
(Any idea on what should attack us?)
(automatons)
(Sure.)
"Watch your step." Riann called out as she stepped inside. A cold wind blew past her and a low growl registered.
"I don't recognize this machinery here." Spyke said, looking towards some complaisant seeming machinery.
Not a growl, but instead the hum of machinery. She turned her head towards what was making the noise. In seconds an automaton had tackled her to the ground.
Katie felt the breeze, and in the blink of an eye she pulled out a knife.
It moved, lightning fast, slamming into Spyke, and trying to subdue him. It went to strike his head, but he moved it just in time. The fist of this thing, had created a fissure in the ground. Spyke kicked it off of himself, and rolled to his feet.
An automaton pounced on her from behind, and she twisted around, planning to slash at its head. It was metal. Her knife shattered. Katie took a step back, arms coming up wildly to stop the creature coming towards her.
Lucille pulled out the knife in her backpack and gripped it tightly.
He took his tiger shape, and tackled it back, batting it's head, sparks flew as he did it. It tried to punch him again, but he raised a paw, intercepting it, and bit the limb off, receiving a small shock.
Riann growled and rolled out of the way. She conjured an illusion of invisibility and in seconds everyone disappeared. Blood from a cut on the back of her head slowly trickled down her neck.
"I can hold this illusion for a while," Riann spoke up as she grimaced in concentration. "Try to keep the automatons busy."
Within moments, it was nothing but a pile of sparking scraps. He turned his attention towards the one that attacked Riann.
“One, two, three. Three automatons.”
“Please tell me there are only these three automatons.”
More automatons creaked to life, trying to run towards the group. Riann kept the illusion of invisibilty up, but created an illusion of everyone running towards the warehouse door. The automatons followed the illusions.
It started to hum. For what reason he didn't know, but he pounced, knocking it to the floor, diverting the aim of a gun it had fired up, now, a volley of bullets smashed through the roof, Spyke took his jaws to it's chin and jerked up, but he couldn't quite tear it's head off.
Katie turned and viciously launched herself at another automaton. In a quick series of movement even she couldn't keep track of, the automaton lay smouldering at her feet.
Riann charged at an automaton, bringing her dagger up. An illusion of fire shot up on both sides of the automaton, making it feel like it was burning. She knocked it to the ground and stabbed the dagger into a chip on the back of it's neck. In seconds, the automaton lye limp on the ground.
The head went flying in seconds, as he turned his attention to another, narrowly dodging it's strikes, he clapped it's head in with both paws
He took a bit of time to morph into a bear behind cover. Once finished, he charged.
