“35.” Lucille said.
“35.” Lucille said.
"Hard to tell, from all the scrap in there." Spyke said.
She exhaled audibly. "Obstacle number 1. Down." she muttered.
“…there are…more obstacles?” Lucille asked, she look worriedly at Riann.
Katie looked up wildly. Well, I'm guessing. I mean, these kidnappers are very smart. I have no idea what's going to happen; might be nothing, might be something, might kill one of us off." she said with cutting honesty.
“Maybe we should retreat to the hotel…” Lucille suggested.
Katie bit her lip. "They probably know about the hotel."
Lucille whimpered, “Then what?”
Katie glanced at Riann. "She needs someplace quiet and safe, that's for sure. Somewhere to rest." She searched the empty horizon desperately. "Would it be worth the risk, going back to the hotel for just a couple hours, two standing guard and one checking up on Riann?"
"I'll do it." Spyke said.
“Well I’m useless here, I should do it.”
"You're not useless. . ." She mumbled, leaning against Spyke (the dog I believe?)
(Yes, he's a dog now.)
( interesting xD)
"You're one of the best fighters I have ever seen." Riann added, rubbing her head absentmindedly.
(I've gotta go, goodnight)
( Okay, see you soon!)
He propped her up against himself. "Are you, OK?" He asked sincerely.
"Yeah. . " Riann nodded. "Making those illusions are exhausting. They're even harder to control." She glanced behind her where some illusions of random figures were flickering.
"Come on hold onto me, let's go." He said, turning into a St. Bernard.
She leaned against the St. Brenard and held on tight.
"Have you ever ridden a horse before?" Spyke said. "'Cause I don't want you to have to walk all the way to the room."
"I think I have. . . after all I don't remember much." Riann replied.
Hop on my back and just lay down, I'll be gentle, and I swear I won't let you fall." He said, shifting into a mustang.
"I know you won't." Riann smiled and climbed onto the horse's back. She leaned against it's soft mane and held on tight.
