The sun rose, marking the second day of these so called 'Trials.' Riann rubbed her tired eyes, realizing that she had fallen asleep once again.

“Hot chocolate?” Lucille offered.

Spyke woke up on the floor. He'd apparently drifted off to sleep on the floor by Ri's bed. He heard a clattering sound, the ground seemed to vibrate. He got up, and looked out the window. There was wholesale destruction everywhere, and in the midst of it, a giant tank with limbs, trailed by horrid looking creatures. He notified the others.

Riann woke up as Spyke shook her awake. She stumbled out of the bed and her eyes widened as she saw the horde.

"I can pull up an illusion of invisibility around us." She called out to Spyke and Lucille. "I can make another of us running in a different direction. We need to get the hybrids out of the building."

"I'll take care of this big guy, and the ones outside." Spyke said, he jumped out the window to the ground, and rolled when he landed.

"I'll make sure no more of them come in." Hr yelled up from behind cover.

“Don’t die!” Lucille called, she turned to Riann, “Take the hot chocolate.”

Riann threw up the illusion of invisibility and exited the hotel room through the window, rolling onto the cement sidewalk. Another illusion of them ran in the opposite direction through a backdoor. The horde followed after them and exited the hotel room, running straight towards Spyke, Riann, Lucille and Katie.

"I tend not to!" He said, cheekily. He shifted into an elephant, destroying his clothes and charged, he caught the giant one offguard, and nearly knocked him off balance. It tried to punch the ground, but as it cocked it's fist back, he anticipated what was going to happen, and turned into a falcon. Narrowly avoiding the hit as he flew up.

Riann threw up an illusion of fire and charged at the hybrids. The flames closed in on the monster horde, making them feel as if they were burning and the fire was on them. She created another illusion of pain, making the hybrids closest to her fall to the ground. Riann pulled out her dagger and threw it at one of the monster's chest. It toppled to the ground.

He turned into a tiger, landing on it's head, and barely gripping it's neck, he chewed at wires. There was no chip? He saw an opening in it's head, but it grabbed him. Struggling, he managed to bite off a finger, and climb back up to the neck. He makes the hard shift from tiger to dragonfly, and enters the opening.

“Where’s Katie?” Lucille asked, “Is she safe?”

Within seconds, the head had swollen in size, until a bear burst from it. The thing reeled, about to fall. Luckily, Spyke's fall was cushioned by one of the horde.

Riann saw Spyke struggling and created a bigger illusion of fire around the giant automaton, making it feel as if it's metal was melting. It lurched to the side and clawed at it's metal, ripping pieces off. Riann grimaced as she tried to hold the illusion. Behind her a hybrid tackled her to the ground and she let go of the illusion.

The thing still reeled, about to fall on the hotel.
He cursed, tackled one of the legs to steer the fall away from the hotel and his friends, and into the street.

She growled and rolled away. Three different hybrids approached her and pinned her to the ground. Riann attempted to create an illusion of invisibility and slip away, but she flickered in and out of sight. Her dagger had skid away and had no weapon to fend them off.

Next, Spyke tore the thing off of Riann, impaling it with his paw.

He set on the others that were attacking her like a bat out of hell, they scattered to avoid being hit, and he avoided trampling Riann.
