"I feel bad for the people who are funding us." She laughed.
"Yeah, I'll say." Spyke said, smiling. "And check out what I got." He pulled out enough debit cards for everyone. "Turns out I'm loaded." He hadno idea how though.
Katie gaped at the pile of cards on the table. "Wow." was the most intelligent thing she could find to say.
"Take one." He said. "I promise, it's fine."
Katie hesitantly took a credit card. "What are the PINs?"
Riann took one and slipped it into her jacket's pocket. She turned towards Spyke and noticed his fatigue.
"Are you feeling okay?" Riann asked, concerned.
"Here." He handed them all slips "These are the PIN's." He looked at Riann, whose worried look hurt his soul. "I'm fine. I promise." He said, although he was pretty sure his body make-up right now was about 50% lactic acid.
Riann nodded, though her concerned look stayed on her face. "Do you guys wanna head up to the room?"
"Sure." Spyke said, a headache starting up.
Katie nodded and stood up. She helped Spyke to his feet and they headed up to the room.
Riann frowned as Spyke swayed. {The powers have some weird side affects. . .} Once they entered the room, she headed towards the bathroom. As she looked in the mirror, she noticed a strange deep blue color creeping into her amber irises. Riann furrowed her brow in confusion and rejoined everyone.
(( Should these powers actually be hurting us? And the worst side affects will come soon?
(yeah I think so)
Spyke lay himself down on the bed. He was done for the day. But he hoped his friends were OK too.
Riann rubbed her now bluish eyes and sat down on the edge of one of the beds. She glanced over at Spyke to make sure he was feeling okay.
"Is, is there something different about you?" Spyke said, though he couldn't quite pin it down.
Katie collapsed on the bed near the window, mind reeling. She racked her brains to remember anything before the fateful day she woken up in the warehouse, but came up with the same: a name. Lea. She didn't mention or question it.
Lucille landed face first onto the bed again. She then flipped over and stared at the ceiling.
Riann nodded. "Some bluish, grey color is slowly fading in my iris." She motioned to her mostly amber eyes.
Katie flipped onto her side to look at Riann. "When did it come?"
"Well, I only noticed it now, but with all these weird headaches after making those illusions. . ." Riann started. "That could be a cause."
"Are, you OK?" He asked concerned, it was certainly no coincidence. He vowed to keep an eye on her.
“So it seems like using too much or just using your power can cause headaches and fatigue.” Lucille mused.
"I'm feeling okay." She replied, but it hurt to see Spyke so worried. {Well, fine for now. . .} Riann thought to herself. "How about you? Are one of your head aches coming on?"
"A bit." He said. He got up, and went to the bathroom and closed the door. Within seconds, the water in the shower was turned on.
