“You’re not your brother, though!” Rigel shouted back, before biting his tongue. The words he said were not meant for Enyln. He took a moment just to count his heartbeats, just to be silent. He couldn’t do this. He couldn’t survive through this any longer.

@Dirt

"And you're not yours! But you still think you're gonna turn into him!" Enyln wanted to turn and walk away again but her feet stayed planted betraying her. "So stop thinking you're gonna turn!"

@Rvan group

“What if I do?” Rigel’s voice was now quiet, soft even. A shiver went through his body, “What if I do turn? What happens then?” Little tears shimmered down his face as he looked to Enyln with hopeless eyes.

@Dirt

"If you haven't caught it by now- I don't think you have it." Enyln stepped forward and took his hand in hers. "You're not gonna turn Rigel. And even if you do- I'll-" she could make herself say the words, but she had too. "I'll make sure you can't hurt anyone."

@Rvan group

“Okay. Okay,” Rigel said quietly, looking at their joint hands, “Can you- Will you still come with Paradis with me?” Rigel doubted he’d be able to enter, but if he could just get there with Enyln… It would be enough.

@Dirt

"As long as you stop believing you'll turn into your brother." Enyln rembered she had grabbed Rigels hand. "Uh- sorry." She pulled her hand back. "And if you still think you're gonna turn then I'm leaving cuz I can't deal with a monster and their apatite." She joked slightly giving him a light punch to the shoulder.

Rigel grabbed her hands back, giving her a fake maniac grin as an imitation of his twin, “But I could just eat you up, love,” It took him a few seconds to realize how close they were, and he immediately pulled back, face red like a fire truck.

@Dirt

"I-" Enyln knew her own face was red too now. "We should really get you a shirt- and fix your arm…" She trailed off looking to Rigels arm. "You could barrow my hoodie if you want." She didn't know why she didn't think of it sooner. Or maybe it was because she didn't want him to see her arms. The scars that she'd acuiered. everyone has their scars. her own words stinging at her.

@Rvan group

Rigel avoided looking down at his skinned arm, “I- If you don’t need it,” Because Rigel’s fate was sealed, whether or not he was immune. He didn’t have to be so careful now, he could wear whatever he wanted, wrap his injuries in anything. It felt like a release, in some ways.

@Dirt

"Yeah um, here." Enyln pulled off her over sized hoodie that was ment for counseling the knife at her hip- and hidding her arms. who cares? she thought. me that's who. it reminded her of her past. Of what she used to do. Of what would happen if she failed. She handed Rigel the hoodie hoping he wouldn't look at her arms.

@Rvan group

Rigel took the hoodie with a quiet, “Thank you,” But his eyes had flicked across her arms for only a breath, then he put the hoodie on. A fleck of emotion -maybe it was sympathy, sadness, or even slight anger- sparked in him. Not Enyln… He just felt like it wasn’t fair. Nothing was ever fair when you had scars like that on your arms. He took a moment to remind himself to give her space about it before opening his mouth and saying something stupid. He instead sighed, “We should get moving again, I guess. I wonder if that horse…” If the horse was still alive after Vincent came through there, oh gosh, Rigel didn’t want to get his hopes too high. But if it was… They’d make so much progress and take less energy compared to on foot.

@Dirt

Enyln saw his gaze flick to her arms and she quickly tried to hid them. "Uh, yeah I wonder if it is alive still. I didn't really see when I ran back." he didn't ask. she smiled to herself a little, but felt as of she owed him an explanation, after all she knew somethings about him. But what did he know about her? Next to nothing. "Uh- when I didn't do what jack wanted- when I didn't kill someone he wanted me to kill he'd." She held her arms out a little, "he'd do this." She added shyly. "He said if my scars where visible I'd learn." She crossed her arms shaking slightly, "but um…we should get moving."

@Rvan group

Rigel’s heart just about stopped dead right there. So many emotions ran through him within seconds, but anger was the most of it. He took a breath to calm down then he took a step forward and wrapped his arms around Enyln tightly, “I’m so sorry. Gosh…” Rigel was so glad he killed that man back then, but at the same time, Jack should have suffered more.

@Dirt

"There's nothing you could have done. You weren't exactly one of the ones that watched." She traced her finger over one that was particularly deep remembering that was the last one. The one that happened just before she ran never turning back. Jack had been who kept her alive. He controlled the area, he was the only one that could protect her then. Now she protected herself. "We should really go see if the horse is alive though."

@Rvan group

Rigel held onto her for one more breath, then finally pulled back, but kept a hand on Enyln’s shoulder as he said, “If you ever- I’ll- If you need someone to talk to, about anything or if you just need support or- I dunno, if I can do anything to help, if you need anything I’ll always be here,” He promised the last part, then pulled away and face the barn. Rigel almost laughed, the entire wall was dented and broken compared to its pristine image from before Vincent came.

@Dirt

always be there. the words burned inside of Enyln. "Same to you." She turned her gaze to the barn wanting to laugh, "remind me Not to get on your brothers bad side." But then again, she already did, but It seemed as if everyone was on his bad side.

@Rvan group

Rigel laughed as he entered through the side. It already smelled wretched, the bodies already started on decay as spots of ooze festered on them. Rigel coughed a little then looked towards the horse stall. There it was, standing there in unease. Rigel quickled went to get it out as he spoke, “Could you try and get the larger doors open? If the ooze just sits here, I think it’d turn into a breeding ground for the next mutation,” He laughed a little as he busted the lock on the horse’s stall. The beauty seemed a little startled, but a Rigel had experience with horses before. He eased it down, then slowly started leading it towards the barn exit.

@Dirt

Enyln headed for the doors throwing them open, "so we're taking the horse with us?" She asked looking around for her bag. Her gaze fell on her bow again, regret stabbed at her. She quickly scooped up her arrows and her bag noticing it had been emptied out.

@Rvan group

“No, the horse is taking us with it. This will make a world’s difference of surviving or not,” Rigel said and he comforted the horse with little coos. At least with it I’ll be able to make sure Enyln gets to Paradis… Rigel led the horse out of the barn, and it already looked better getting fresh air. It immediately started munching on the tall grass.

@Dirt

"Ah I see." Enyln laughed a bit. "Shall we give said horse a name? Or shall we keep calling it horse?" She looked to Rigel a grin on her face. She skipped out enjoying the fresh air even if she was only in the barn for a few minutes.

@Rvan group

Rigel laughed, “Well…” He ducked down to get a better look at the horse, “It’s a she…” Rigel stood back up straight and rested his forearms against the horse, who seemed to care less, “The best I can think of is Meria, honestly.”

@Dirt

"Meria it is!" Enyln shouted joyfully trying to forget everything that just happened. "Look um- about before. The shouting and everything. Sorry." She mumbled looking at the ground.

@Rvan group

“I’m sorry too,” Rigel replied quietly, chewing his lip. He took a deep breath, “But it’s okay,” Rigel stretched once before patting the horse gently, “We should get riding… have you ever been on a horse before?”

@Dirt

"Uh, no…" Enyln shyly looked at the ground. "Can a horse even hold two of us? She was a bit embarrassed at her little knowledge of horses and the fact she'd never rid one before.

@Rvan group

“Yeah, we’ll just have to take breaks every once and a while,” Rigel replied with an encouraging smile, “It really isn’t bad,” When you ride with a saddle, at least… “Let me help you up.” Rigel held out his hands to her with a smirk.
