Rigel sprinted, firing shots into the nightly darkness. He heard at least one body drop. The bullets were enough to get the horse running, and Rigel swung himself up by chance. He reached a hand back to Enyln, “RUN!” Enyln, gosh darn it…

Enyln staggered up feeling her leg start to bleed again. She struggled with her arms behind her back, the ropes cutting into her wrists painfully. She felt someone grab a fustfull of her hair making her scream out in pain. "Let me go!" She screamed tears stinging at her eyes. "Rigel run!" She was leverage. If they wanted to kill her she'd have been dead already.

Rigel yanked the horse’s mane back, trying to get her to stop and go back for Enyln, yet the horse was too spooked. She bucked and forced Rigel to hold for his life, before Meria ran out of the scene. He fired more shots anyways, directed at dark figures in the night. Rigel swore at them, clenching his fists tightly to Meria’s mane as she kept running. Enyln.

"looks like he left you." Enyln could hear the smugness in his voice, but instead of him letting out a chuckle she did. "Just means he kept true to his word." The grip on her hair tightened as who ever they where dragged her face closer to his, "that just mean you're living on borrowed time." Enyln tried to pull back at the sent of his breath but he kept a tight hold on her, Not wanting to take any chances. "Three days. If he's not back by then do what you will with her." he tossed her to two other men that gripped her arms painful strength.

Rigel yanked at the horse, and she finally fell into a trot, then eventually stopped. Rigel slid off and hissed, “You stupid beast, I-“ He interrupted himself with furious coughing. Rigel felt it rise in his throat before he could think, and then he was on his hands and knees vomiting beside a tree. When he finally looked up, the horse was gone. He let out a string of curses, before vomiting some more. Enyln, gosh, this is all my fault… He attempted to stand, but felt so, so weak… I’ll wait until morning, I’ll be able to see the attackers better anyways… Rigel curled over, coughing and shivering until they first light hit the trees.

They praticly threw Enyln back into the cave laughing as she struggled to a sitting position. The night seemed to pass slugishly making her hope Rigel was using the time to get as far away as possible. Every know and again someone should come up to her and question her and once they didn't get their answers they'd either kick her in the side or slap her. Bruises where forming and she knew it. The first peek of sun made her jerk her head up, finally. she thought knowing only more nights like the previous where to come.

Rigel’s eyes opened from a restless sleep. Enyln His puke smelled terrible from the night before… Rigel hoisted himself up, a little wobbly on his feet as he took one step forward. Enyln. He grabbed his gun, reloaded it, then started down the path of horse hooves. Maybe he could track them. I just need to find her.

The guy who seemed to be in charge clenched Enyln's jaw tightly in his hand as he spoke to her, "where. Did. He. go?" Enyln laughed, "like I said, he's long gone." She narrowed her eyes. Even if she was afraid she wouldn't let them know. "Tell me!" he shouted shoving her head back making it strike the wall of the cave. Her head throbbed and everything seemed to go out of focus. "Never." She clenched her jaw ready for him to strike her, but he didn't. Instead he left her to go talk to his men. 15, thats how many she'd seen. But she knew there where more out side of the cave.

Rigel followed the tracks cautiously, until he saw the mouth of the cave. People stood around it, and Rigel frowned. He quietly aimed the gun, watching. Waiting. Why are they still here? If Enyln’s dead…

get up. Run. Enyln sighed leaning her head back. give in. it was a war in her head. One that couldn't end well for her. give in. it seemed to echo as she sat there head throbbing. die. her own thoughts took her by surprise. She hadn't thought like that since meeting Rigel. Since falling in love.

Rigel pulled the trigger, then kept firing, downing a few of them. One word pounded in his head with every shot. Enyln. Enyln. Enyln. He wasn’t going to stop until she was out, she needed to be okay. If she wasn’t…

Enyln jumped at the gun shots, "no no no." She struggled to stand seeing some of them turn and run out side. Others turning to her. A hand ruffly jerked her to her feet. It was only then that she noticed how much everything hurt. "Put the gun down!" The leader called. Enyln opened her mouth to protest but they shoved something in her mouth to silence her throwing her out of the cave into the furry of bullets.

The bullets couldn’t have stopped firing faster. Rigel froze when she was thrown out, just breathing for few seconds. Then anger, rage filled through him. Kill them all. He blinked at his own thought. No- just- save Vash. “What do you even want?” Rigel called to the captives, anger lacing every vowel he spoke.

Enyln stumbled looking at Rigel. "simple We want to kill you." He spoke. no no no. she was leverage. If she… If she died he'd be safe. Tears spilled from her eyes and she fell to her knees. he had noting to do with it I'm the one who killed jack! she wanted to scream it out so they'd let him live. So they'd take her instead. keep your promise. Run. she pleaded knowing he couldn't hear her.

“Well why didn’t you just say that a long time ago?” Rigel drawled, dredging up the relaxed mask from long ago. He even forced himself to lower the gun and hold it casually. “I’m dying anyways, curtesy of my brother mind you. But really, that’s all you want? You don’t even want to know where Paradis is?” There it was, a gold coin hanging in front of them on a thread. Everyone wanted to know where the fabled Paradis was.

The leader let out a chuckle emerging from the cave and jerking Enyln up in front of himself as a shield, "we're listening. But best not risk her life and stay over there. Why don't you drop the gun and come over? Let us see you more clearly." Enyln tried to jerk free so she could run. no Rigel. the leaders grip only tightened on her to keep her steady.

“Please, do you think me a simpleton?” Rigel hissed with a sneer, “Why should one such as I put myself in danger for no reason whatsoever? Let the little lady go and then we’ll talk.” Let her go, just let her go. Rigel just had to keep up the mask, the one he killed Jack with, the one that wasn’t sick, dying, and afraid.

"I'm afraid we can't do that. Once we let her go you could start shooting again, or Even then we don't want her following us." his grip tightened as if he where trying to prove a point, "once we have you my men will take her two days out from here and leave her." Enyln started to panic. kill he ment kill and she knew it.

“How can I hold you true to your word? For all I know as soon as you have me you’ll just keep her for the heck of it,” Rigel said coolly, raising an eyebrow, “Seems we have a catch twenty two here.” He flicked the safety of the gun on and off as he drawled, “I’m not putting this gun away until she’s free. Without your men tailing her.”

The leader smirked, "Well we don't need you. And if you're true to your word you'll be dying soon anyway. Her on the other hand, She could be useful in other ways." his words stung at her, Jack had said the same. She threw her head back meeting his nose with a sickening crunch. His hands went to his nose and he released her. Enyln dropped to the ground hoping Rigel would understand. Hoping he'd open fire again. "you little!"

Rigel had aimed faster than the bullet that had left the gun. And he had never aimed so perfectly in his life, because he wouldn’t have dared fire that gun if he thought Enyln would get hit. Rigel was already in the process of reloading.

Enyln praticly crawled on her knees awkwardly to get over to Rigel. The leader dropped dead being hit with the bullet and others started to panic. The rope cut into her wrists the more she moved but she didn't stop. get to Rigel. Run. her mind was set. She was determined.

Rigel tunneled for Enyln, shooting bullets in every which way in order to cause chaos. The problem hit when Rigel had just gotten to Enyln’s side. He ran out of ammunition. Rigel grabbed hold of Enyln’s arm and heaved her up with some difficulties. I’m getting weaker… Rigel shook the thought away as his eyes met Enyln’s and a simple demand, “Run”

She didn't. Enyln refused to leave with out him. Her eyes pleaded. don't make me leave you. I can't lose you. and she couldn't. She was set on being with him. Even if it ment she might die.

Rigel gave up, “Urg, just come on,” He started to take off, but he made sure to know she was right behind him before running at full speed. Even at full speed I won’t be that fast… Everything hurts…
