"Rigel…you alright?" Enyln watched him with caution stepping forward. She looked to where he was looking to see if maybe there was something she couldn't quite see.
(Waaait is he hallucinating??? Child stop dying!)

(Yeah, but panic attack/paranoia kinda thing)
“Gosh no,” He whispered, closing his eyes for a second just to breath, “I just need water, or something,” He mumbled, letting his pack slide off his back. He put his head in his hands, “I’m sure I’m just dehydrated, sorry.”
"Its okay…" Enyln put her hand on Rigel's shoulder hoping all it really was just dehydration. "Shall we get digging then?" She asked pulling a small canteen out of her bag and handing it to Rigel. It didn't have much in it, but it was better then nothing.
Rigel closed his eyes and accepted the drink wordlessly, guzzling it. He gave it back to Enyln and forced himself to open his eyes and get back to work. A loud thunking came from outside. The door slid open, but the open man wasn’t alone. A pack of cannibals, probably who were hiding out in some bunker nearby while Enyln and Rigel were lured into the barn trap. Rigel’s hand twitched for his pack.
Enyln jumped back and had an arrow knocked without even thinking, it was pure instinct to her by now. "What the actual heck y'all?" Her accent peeking out, "so…y'all gonna eat us or…just gonna be nice and let us go?" She gave a friendly smile that was anything but friendly and trained her bow on the old man.
One guy grunted a laugh, while the others filed into the barn with eyes trained on them. Their next meal. Rigel desperately rifled through his pack, looking, looking. Then, faster than a bolt of lightning, a knife was at his neck and he was toppled to the ground. He trashed, but a sharp needle was stuck into his neck. His eyes bulged as he shouted at Enyln as the sedative worked, “Enyln, the pist…” The pistol. But Rigel was unconscious before he could finish the word.
Enyln let an arrow lose letting it plunge into someone chest with a sickening thunk she rushed to Rigel's bag to find the gun before falling into darkness, the back of her head throbbing from what ever she'd been struck with. Not like this.
The man who had attacked Rigel, who now laid on the floor unconscious, sprung up and went to attack Enyln next. The man was bulky, but and easy target. It was clear he favored his left side.
Enyln blinked till she could see, even if it was just a blur and swung her bow using it to smack the man as hard as possible, splintering her bow in two. "D-don't. Stay back." She wobled on her feet trying to keep from falling into a sleep that she'd most likely not awake from. "And- and leave Rigel alone." She'd pushed his bag behind her so they wouldn't try and take it. A laugh came from the group as Enyln collapsed. how..? she felt someone start to drag her before completely falling into the darkness that violently had been trying to claim her.
Rigel woke up groggily, but when he opened his eyes, the pain stung. And the metallic smell of blood. His eyes did a quick scan of his surroundings. They were tied up in the barn. Enyln was a few feet away, unharmed yet unconscious. Then Rigel looked at himself -his arm- and hurled up bile, coughing and choking on it. There was so much blood. The men -cannibals- sat not a few feet away. Passing around a thin slab of cooked, probably from the campfire nearby, meat. Rigel hurled again, and one of the cannibals frowned in disgust.
Rigel’s arm had cuts in it, chunks of meat taken out. And being eaten by the people not a few feet away. Rigel started to shake a little, despite his mind ordering him to calm down. He whispered in a panic, “Enyln.”
Enyln grumbled slightly shifting. Pain flared threw her head as she opened her eyes to nothing but a blur of lights amd color, "Rigel?" She glanced to where she saw someone sitting alone and slowly inched over hoping she wouldn't be seen.
Rigel’s breathing changed to short, panicked breaths as he stared at his bloody arm. He was flayed. Rigel had turned into a walking meal to those men. Rigel started to shake slightly as he whispered without looking at her, “Enyln, you need to get out, just find a way.”
(Honesty just thinking of the ep in the walking dead when they cut a guys leg off, and ate it infrount of him.)
Enyln shook her head, "we're both getting out. I have a plan." She shifted slightly and spoke, "he's infected you know." She addressed the group of cannibals and glared their way, "now y'all are gonna catch the sickness and die." Enyln was trying to be convincing though she didn't even know if they where immune or not.
(I haven’t ever watched the walking dead but lol)
One of the men paled, choking on what he was chewing. But the others… They gave Enyln a dead stare and the old man said, “Do you think we are stupid? We wouldn’t be alive if we weren’t immune,” He took another bite of his -Rigel’s- meat for emphasis, “And besides-“ An incredibly loud thunk sounded, and Rigel jumped. The room became quiet. Another thunk, bringing attention to the wall. Thunk, and the wall splintered. It only took a second for the wall to completely fail and the attacker to break through. A familiar face, a face that made Rigel pale. It was like time stopped as he stared into his mirror. His twin. Rigel’s mutant mirror smiled, and in one swift motion snapped the neck of the old man, who had been unfortunate enough to be closest. That’s when they started screaming. And Rigel could only watch in paralyzed fear.
Enyln felt a scream escape her mouth as she jumped back in horror, "Rigle, Rigel," she was pulling him up even though she was sure her own legs wouldn't work. "Run, Run now come on lets go." She didn't see away around the monster that burst threw the wall but was sure that they could try and out run it.
Rigel’s tugged fiercely against the rope that tied him to a post, but the only thing it did was scrape his wrist. His eyes didn’t leave his brother. Rigel just watched fearfully as his brother shredded the cannibals. He quietly whispered, not to anyone in particular, “Vincent. Gosh, Vincent. Vincent.”
(Oof forgot he was tied)
Enyln was scrambling to untie Rigel but her hands shook making it nearly impossible, come on come on come on. once she got him untied she pulled him up, "sorry about that." She mumbled. Enyln looked for the nearest weapon only seeing her broken bow a stab of regret for braking it over that man hit her but now was no time for any other emotion then fear.
Rigel stumbled up, but his brother turned and he froze up. Vincent smiled that maniac smile, “Going so soon, brother? Just like you did when mother and father got sick. Tsk, tsk, they’d be ashamed. And here I was, saving your and the other scent’s lives.” A glob of ooze fell from Vincent’s chin to the floor, “You, I think it’s ironic. That I am you identical, yet we’re so different now. I’m the Hyde to your Jekyll.” A laugh from Rigel’s brother. And Rigel didn’t even know what to do other than stare in fear.
Enyln pulled up what little courage she had and stepped in between Rigel and his brother, "Rigel. Run." Her voice shook but she didn't move, her feet planted firmly. "Now." She hissed between clenched teeth. Enyln felt fear creep up inside and clinch her stomach. Fear, something you'd feel in a moment like this, some thing she didn't feel enough of. All she could think about was her own brother. How this could have been his own fate.
And it was like Enyln words snapped him out of a trance. He bolted like a rabbit, right out the hole Vincent had entered, sprinting out through the field, pool still dripping off his arm, a trail.
Vincent stared at Enlyn for a second studying her. Committing her scent to memory, before darting back out of the barn, like a wolf on a rabbit’s scent. That blood, that smell. As soon as Vincent had caught whiff of it, he had followed the scent to the barn without stop. And now he was hungry.
Enyln darted after Rigel scooping his bag up hoping the pistol was still there. A small messed up part of her had hoped she'd be killed, but another part, something she hadn't felt in a long time, hoped she wouldn't. Enyln knew her leg wasn't good enough for running like this yet, but that wouldn't stop her. She had to catch up.
Vincent bounded after Rigel, but didn’t get close enough to tackle. It wasn’t because Rigel was fast- no, this was a game to Vincent. Rigel’s heart pounded as he sprinted through the field, fear of tripping with every step. One wrong move, and Vincent would be on top of him. But gosh… Rigel was so fatigued. He just hoped Enyln made it out, that his brother didn’t kill her on the spot. That she grabbed that pistol and shot her way to Paradis. Rigel took a moment to look back, a possibly fatal mistake, but saw Enyln. And then he stumbled. And his brother, of course, got to him before he even fell, clutching his chest and neck. Rigel tried to worm away, but Vincent pressed Rigel against his chest. Ooze dripped onto Rigel’s shoulder as his brother said, “Hello, twin brother~”
"Get off of him!" Enyln had pulled the gun from his bag and had it aimed at Vincent, "now." She hissed out. She'd never tried to save anyone in her life, not after her family all died. But something had snapped, it was like the world was in slow motion when she saw Rigel tackled. She felt the need to protect, it was the only thing on her mind. not again. I can't watch someone I care about die again. She knew it'd push her over the edge, and Enyln couldn't- wouldn't be able to handle that.
Vincent stared at the gun for a moment, before smiling as he rested his head on Rigel’s stiff shoulder, “Shoot at me, run the risk of killing Rigel. Now we wouldn’t want that,” Vincent let out a small laugh, and Rigel stiffened.
“Vincent, let her go. Please,” Rigel said quietly -fearfully- and added, “Enyln, you need to run. I’m as good as dead, I’ll probably be infected.” Vincent let out another laugh at the last few words, then flicked a little bit of ooze at Rigel’s face. Rigel tried desperately to ignore it, but couldn’t stop from clamping up in fear.
"I'd take that risk. But I'm a pretty good shot." Enyln still pointed the gun even if she was unsure. "Plus, what would you gain? It'd be game over. Why not still have fun while it lasted?" Her voice shook but her hands where steady, shoot it, Enyln do it. in her head she panicked and was sure her legs would give out any minute.
