Finn nodded and curled up on his side. "Oh, well… I guess that's just the hand I've been dealt, huh? I can't do anything."
Finn nodded and curled up on his side. "Oh, well… I guess that's just the hand I've been dealt, huh? I can't do anything."
Beatrice nodded once.
"Yeah," she said "we all just have to deal with the things were given."
"Just sucks… whatever. Goodnight." Finn shifted into a wolf and curled up into a tight ball with his eyes closed.
Beatrice sighed.
"G'night." She said tiredly, and turned away from him onto her left side and closed her eyes.
(time skip???)
(Sure)
In the morning, Finn was awake early and left the bedroom. He went to go check on Teagan and Irena. Teagan seemed mostly better, but still needed to recover.
Beatrice slept a little longer, then finally, the sound of chirping birds woke her up and she groaned softly to herself.
She threw the covers off herself and then sat up slowly, rubbing her eyes with a balled up fist, she checked her phone, the screen reading 9:54 in the morning.
"Great." She muttered and stood up, looking around for Finn, but he wasn't in the room.
Finn, after checking on Teagan and Irena, had gone down to the kitchen to make something for breakfast. He still looked pretty disheveled and sleepy, and he yawned every so often. He seemed to be making bacon and eggs, and there was some fruit cut up on the counter.
Beatrice slipped her phone into her pocket of her sweatpants and made her way downstairs, her hair smooshed on one side and her shirt disheveled.
She made her way to the kitchen island and took a seat at one of the bar stools.
"Morning." She said to Finn, stretching.
"Morning." Finn replied, yawning again and stretching while he waited for the eggs to finish cooking. Once all the food was done, he carried it to the counter and got a plate for himself and Beatrice, handing one to her so she could pick what she wanted.
Beatrice took it with a small smile and piled bacon on it, with a decent amount of eggs.
"Thanks." She said, digging into the bacon, using her hands. "Tastes great."
"Mhmm. Glad you like it." Finn smiled softly and sat down with his own plate to eat. "I'm sure Teagan will get hungry and come down eventually. He's doing better today."
Beatrice nodded as she chewed and swallowed before speaking.
"I hope so," she said honestly. "I think Irena might still be out today and tomorrow, I'm not sure."
"Yeah, she still seemed sick. Teagan heals fast and he just had an infection, so he should be back to normal completely by tomorrow." Finn shrugged as he stuck a piece of bacon in his mouth.
Beatrice continued to eat the rest of her plate and smiled.
"What's on today's agenda? Besides taking care of Teagan and Irena and watching TV?" She asked.
"Nothing in particular, really." Finn hummed thoughtfully and leaned back in his chair. "I'm happy to do whatever you want to do, if you have any ideas."
"We could swim again." Beatrice suggested then paused. "I honestly don't have any ideas."
"Yeah, I dunno…" Finn yawned and then Teagan shuffled down the stairs. He still looked a little pathetic and disheveled, but evidently functioning enough to come get food.
Beatrice brightened.
"Hey!" She said excitedly. "I see your feeling better."
Teagan grumbled something in reply and grabbed a plate of food, but when he sat down, he just lay his forehead against the cool countertop. "His fever hasn't completely gone away yet." Finn chuckled sheepishly.
Beatrice gave Teagan a sympathetic look.
"Do you want to lie down?" SHe asked, placing a gentle hand on his forearm. "You can do it on the couch if you want."
"Mmnh… maybe…" Teagan mumbled in reply. He forced his head up so he could eat something, but it looked to be more difficult than it would be normally.
"You probably should." Beatrice told him. "It would be a wise choice."
"But I'm hungryyy…" Teagan whined, laying his head against the counter again. Finn rolled his eyes and kept eating.
"then eat," Beatrice told Teagan gently. "And then you can lay down for a bit."
