Finn nodded a bit and decided not to press the subject any more. "Mm. I forget a lot of things about my childhood. I know it was relatively eventful since Teagan and I caused trouble pretty often, but it's still hard to remember."
Finn nodded a bit and decided not to press the subject any more. "Mm. I forget a lot of things about my childhood. I know it was relatively eventful since Teagan and I caused trouble pretty often, but it's still hard to remember."
Beatrice nodded in sympathy.
"I mean," she said. "I do that alot too."
"Yeah… I wish I remembered more of it, though. Me and Teagan were happier then." Finn smiled softly and leaned back against the bed.
Beatrice smiled and then frowned slightly.
"I hope you remember," she said honestly, "remembering a happy memory is always good."
Finn nodded. "I do remember some of it, but moreso impactful events than like… a large amount." He shrugged and yawned.
Beatrice nodded and smiled.
"Fair enough." She said and grinned. "It's more likely that you remember the more important or life changing things."
"Yeah, I guess so." Finn hummed thoughtfully before laying down on the floor. "What now?" He asked, looking over at Beatrice.
Beatrice smiled and shrugged, laying her head down on a throw pillow.
"Dunno." She said honestly.
"Yeah. We've already built the fort, so…" Finn tried to think of something to do. "We could watch something on my phone maybe?"
Beatrice shrugged.
"If you want too, sure." She told him and smiled. "What do you wanna watch?"
Finn shrugged as well, pulling his phone out of his pocket. Considering his reckless lifestyle, it was surprisingly well-kept, only having one small hairline crack on the screen. "Whatever you want, I guess. We can just watch videos if you want."
"I think maybe we can watch some animations." Beatrice suggested. "I always love watching those."
"Alright. You can pick whatever you want." Finn offered the phone to Beatrice and leaned back to relax.
Beatrice scrolled and then found an animation about a ladybug who turned into a human, she played it and settled in next to Finn, holding the phone in the middle so he could see the video as well.
Finn hummed a bit and settled down to watch whatever Beatrice had picked out. He yawned, seeming content enough until a notification for a text showed up on his phone. From Teagan, saying I'm dying
, which was more than likely an exaggeration, but concerning nonetheless.
Beatrice read it and widened her eyes.
"Do you want to go check on him?" She said then frowned as his phone beeped again.
"I think he texted again." She pointed out.
The next text read Help me
, so Finn sighed and crawled out of the fort. "Yeah, I'm gonna check on him. He's probably being dramatic, but I need to make sure he's okay." With that, he headed out of the room and into the guest room, but found that Teagan wasn't there. He was more worried now, and a little agitated that Teagan didn't stay put, but he decided to give him a pass on that when he found him throwing up in the bathroom. He knelt beside his brother and ruffled his hair, keeping him company more than anything. When Teagan seemed to be done, Finn picked him up and put him back and bed, and he fetched him a trash can so he wouldn't get up again if he needed to throw up.
Beatrice waited patiently in the fort, she wanted to give Finn some space as well as some time to take care of his twin. While she waited, she pulled out her phone and got on the notes app, where she began a journal entry. She had done this since she had a phone, kept track of her day and feelings through the words her fingers typed.
"You're okay, Tea… you're gonna be fine." Finn soothed softly, running his fingers through Teagan's hair to help him calm down. He still seemed a bit distressed and pale, and he generally just didn't feel well. Eventually, Finn managed to get Teagan to fall asleep and then he headed back into Beatrice's room with a soft sigh. "Sorry about that."
Beatrice waved a limp hand at him.
"It's fine," she said honestly. "No need to apologize."
"Mm…" Finn flopped down beside her, running his fingers through his hair. "Tea's throwing up now, so he's going to be extra dramatic and needy. He's asleep right now though, so he should leave us alone for a bit."
"I feel bad." Beatrice admitted. "Being sick is terrible."
Her phone buzzed with a text from Irena, it read I need more medicine.
Beatrice got up and told Finn she'd be right back and then went into Irena's dark room, she grabbed the medicine, poured it into the little cup and helped Irena sit up to take it. She gave her a glass of fresh water and sat it on her bedside table, Irena took a long swallow.
"Thanks." She mumbled and then lay back down.
Beatrice quietly shut the door behind her as she exited the room and went back to her own, crawling back into the fort.
"Sorry," she said. "Irena needed more medicine.
"I'm sure I'll be sick as well soon." Finn laughed tiredly. "With Teagan being as sick as he is, I have no doubt I will be too." When Beatrice left, he occupied himself with his phone for a bit, looking up when she returned.
"No problem. I did the same. Want to keep watching?" He pulled the videos back up on his phone.
Beatrice nodded as she laid back down.
"It's been quite a day," she said, miming wiping sweat off her forehead.
"Yeah…" Finn sighed and got the videos pulled back up so he and Beatrice could continue watching. Eventually, he yawned, starting to get pretty tired.
