"Hm?" Finn looked over at Beatrice at the question, blinking a couple times in confusion. "Oh, um… yeah, sure. What is it?" He asked.

"I think our dad's cheating on our mom." She said flatly, continuing to kick her legs through the air.
"I was in the kitchen one night when he came home and he came in and didn't see me, so I kind of hid…" She said ashamed and continued "and he walked right past where I was and I could smell the perfume, and it was like roses or something, but I know it wasn't my mom's or his cologne and I saw a pair of like lace panties hanging out the side pocket of his suit pants too."

Finn blinked again, clearly unsure how to respond. He glanced to the side and then back to Beatrice, thinking, but unable to really come up with anything satisfactory. "U-Uh… that's not good. What do you think you should… do about it?" He asked awkwardly. He looked back to the food for a moment to make sure it wasn't burning. "Sorry, I don't really… know what to say to that." He laughed awkwardly.

Beatrice shrugged and grinned mischievously.
"I know, that's why I told you because, no offense you're oblivious and everyone else already suspects it so I wanted to see how you reacted."

She looked down at the ground and then back up again, her smile gone.
"I don't think there's anything I can do, honestly." She whispered.

"Huh? Hey!" Finn flushed and huffed, turning back to the food. "I'm not that oblivious, am I?" He sighed, stirring the rice for a minute before looking back at Beatrice. "It'll be fine. I-I mean, I dunno, but… you'll be okay, at least. I don't really know what you should do… dunno if you want your parents to have some big falling out over it."

Beatrice shrugged.
"I don't really care," she admitted "I practically take care of myself, or Irena takes care of me I guess, it's practically just us and well…we practically don't see our parents, i'm pretty sure the only times they're in the same room is when they're sleeping."

"Yeah…" Finn hummed softly as he finished up the chicken fried rice and started putting it on plates. "Well, um… anyways… are you hungry?" He asked awkwardly, holding a plate out to her. "It's done now."

Beatrice took the plate from him, gave him a polite nod and headed through the entryway, back into the living room.

She sat down on the couch, her place balanced on her upper thighs as she stretched out and put her feet onto the surface of the coffee table.

Finn took a plate in each hand and headed upstairs to give one to Irena and Teagan. Once they were settled, he came back downstairs, grabbed a plate for himself, and sat beside Beatrice on the couch. "Is it good?" He asked her.

Beatrice nodded and ate the bite on her fork slowly.
"Yeah," she said honestly and smiled at him between bites. "Really good, actually."

"Glad you like it." Finn smiled softly and started to eat as well. "I gave some to Teagan and Irena. Hopefully they'll eat and get some rest; it'll help them get better faster."

Beatrice nodded and smiled, devouring her whole plate in the span of five minutes and she sat the dirty plate down on the coffee table, next to her feet.

She burped with a hand over her mouth and mumbled "excuse me" before pulling out her phone and scrolling through it.

Finn soon finished his food as well and took both of their plates to the sink to rinse them and put them in the dishwasher. He sighed softly as he headed back over to the couch, running his fingers through his hair. "Mmnh… what're we supposed to do until Teagan and Irena get better?" He asked.

Beatrice shrugged and checked the time.
"Well it's nine now, we should probably make our way into the guest bedroom in case my dad comes home early." She told him and stood up, stretching her arms upwards to the sky.

"Works for me." Finn shrugged as well and yawned. He got to his feet, stretching with a soft sigh. "Let's get going, then." He figured that sleeping in the same bed as Beatrice was a generally bad idea, so he figured he'd just sleep in his wolf form, either at the foot of the bed or on the floor.

Beatrice headed up the stairs, when she got to the top she turned right and went into the guest bedroom, waiting until Finn was inside before shutting the door.

"There's no TV in here, so we'll just have to entertain ourselves I guess." She said, laying down on the bed on the right side and crossing her legs at the ankles.

"Well, what do you suggest?" Finn asked, looking over his shoulder at her. He rested his hands on the back of his head, his arms bent and stretched upwards. "I didn't really bring anything… we don't have much at our house in the ways of entertainment that I could bring anyway."

Beatrice smiled.
"Two truths and a lie, truth or dare or charades." She suggested. "I mean, I have a truth or dare app on my phone and a charades one too."

"Truth or Dare sounds fine to me." Finn shrugged, hesitating before jumping up onto the bed as well to participate in the game.

Beatrice nodded to him.
"You can go first." She told him.

"Oh, um… alright. Truth or Dare?" He asked, leaning back against the wall.

Beatrice looked at him.
"Truth." She stated and smiled kindly at him.

"Hmm…" Finn tried to come up with a good question. "Uh… legality aside, what animal would you wanna have as a pet?" He asked.

Beatrice clapped her hands together excitedly.
"A orca." She said quickly "they're so cute."

Finn smiled and nodded. "An orca would be fun. I'm not all that exciting, I think I'd probably just like a dog… I'll do Truth."
