Beatrice smiled.
"I wonder if it's in your genetics?" She teased. "Irena tends to not be over dramatic because my dad doesn't do drama, he's very serious, so is my mom."
Beatrice smiled.
"I wonder if it's in your genetics?" She teased. "Irena tends to not be over dramatic because my dad doesn't do drama, he's very serious, so is my mom."
Finn shrugged. "I don't know my parents very well, so it's hard to say. I think he might just be like that. He likes the attention sometimes."
Beatrice smiled.
"And considering what I've heard, he doesn't get that with your parents, so he does it with us?" She suggested. "Because he feels like we are his home, deep down? I don't know, maybe he just likes being considered a person."
Finn smiled softly and shrugged again. "Maybe so. He's too proud to just tell us he wants attention most of the time, so he gets clingy when he doesn't feel well."
Beatrice shrugged.
"Well," she said "I like giving other people the attention they need."
And with that, she went under the water again.
"Yeah, I'm happy to give him attention, but he's never willing to take it under normal circumstances…" Finn watched her go under the water curiously, staying where he was.
(Bump)
(I am so sorry, I thought I responded–)
(Np aha)
Beatrice nodded and smiled, splashing Finn lightly.
"I get it though." She said and dunked herself under.
Finn shielded his face from the water and laughed softly, looking back up at the house while Beatrice was under the water. He wondered how Teagan was doing.
Beatrice attempted tp flip underwater and this resulted in a good amount of water going up her nose, so she came back up and coughed into her hand gently, until her breath came back.
"Sorry," she said. "I got water in my nose."
"You good?" Finn asked, watching her with a concerned expression. He was ready to help at any moment, but it didn't seem like he was needed. "Do you want to go in soon?"
"If you want." Beatrice said, coughing into her hand aggressively, to get the stinging feeling out of her throat. "I'm fine if you want to go in now I can swim by myself."
"I don't wanna leave you out here on your own. I do want to check on Teagan at some point, though." Finn hummed thoughtfully and looked up at the house again.
Beatrice nodded and made her way over to the pool steps.
She slowly made her way out of the water and over to the chair with her towel on it. She used it to dry her hair for the most part, her legs and her arms, then wrapped it around herself. "I'm ready to go in, swimming time isn't as fun as it used to be." She told Finn.
Finn got out of the pool and dried himself off as well, sighing. "Yeah, it's kinda odd on our own without Teagan and Irena." Once he was dry, he headed back into the house and looked around, confused upon finding the couch vacant.
"What the hell?" Beatrice said, pausing momentarily. "Where did he go?"
She looked around and then heard a loud thump from the floor above and she looked at Finn, with wide eyes before running to the stairs and stopping short, forcing herself to calm down, what if nothing harmful had happened and she was just jumping to conclusions?
"Teagan?" Finn called out, his stomach twisting at the thud. He wasted no time upon hearing the sound; even if it was nothing, it didn't hurt to check. He didn't care if Teagan would be mad, it didn't matter. He ran up the stairs, looking around frantically and then darting off to his left. He found Teagan on the floor of the guest room, looking very dazed, but definitely alive.
Once Finn started running, Beatrice also went back to running.
"Teagan!" She shouted, once she saw he was on the floor, she went to him, helping him up. "Are you okay?"
Teagan groaned softly and mumbled something in reply, which wasn't distinguishable at all, but Finn somehow seemed to understand either by some miracle or 'twin telepathy'. Finn touched Teagan's forehead with the back of his hand and sighed, picking him up bridal style to lay him on the bed.
"He's burning up. The couch was too small so he wanted to lay in bed, but got really lightheaded once he made it up the stairs. You should've just waited for me, dumbass. I'd have helped you." Teagan grumbled in reply and Finn rolled his eyes.
Beatrice followed closely behind, once Teagan was in bed again, she moved close to him, gently moving his face from side to side to check for physical damage of his fall. When she saw none, she stepped back.
"Nod your head if you're okay." She instructed him.
Teagan nodded a bit and coughed, curling up on his side in the bed. Finn sighed and crossed his arms. "I think he might've picked up what Irena has in addition to his infection. He was next to her, after all."
Beatrice looked at Teagan sympathetically.
"I'll meet you downstairs, I'm going to check on Irena and change." She said and smiled at Teagan. bending down and pulling the blanket up higher. "I hope you feel better, Tea." She said and exited, checking briefly on her older sister and then heading into her room, changing into black sweatpants and a light grey T-shirt.
"Alright, I'll be there in a minute." Finn replied, smiling tiredly. Teagan mumbled something in truly to Beatrice, but that, too, was unintelligible. Once Beatrice was gone, Finn scolded Teagan for not just waiting for him to come back and help him. Then, he brought him a cup of water and some Tylenol before heading downstairs to wait for Beatrice.
