"What's next? Do we talk to the people or say some words ourselves?" Damian was getting uncomfortable with just standing over everyone else. It made him feel superior to them and he didn't want that. He wanted to be a king people were comfortable coming up and just talking to him.
“Er… just bow and thank them?” Savannah curtsied once the applause stopped. “Thank you for coming, everyone! Have a wonderful night!” She waved to the crowd and walked off, subtly gesturing for Damian to follow.
He was a bit surprised since she did that so fast. Following behind he realized, he was ready for this, his parents had trained him since he was young. When he got old enough his parents let him have more part in running the country. And he couldn't wait to have an even bigger part. He was going to do amazing things. And with a strong, smart, beautiful, caring and a leader by his side, they could do anything. He looked at her. Her dress that flowed, the smiles she gave her people and the way her people reacted to her. In all honesty, a talented woman like her could rule this country on her own. Damian smiled to himself. He was going to have to step it up to catch her.
“Damian?” Savannah asked. “Are you staying here tonight or going home until the wedding? I respect your choice either way, of course.” She dipped her head politely. Almost everyone had left the ballroom by now, and the king and queen had already gone to their chambers.
"Which would you prefer?" If she was comfortable with him staying then he would, but if she was then he would leave. Damian walked up to her and took her hand. "I'm kidding, I'll leave and give you your space. Do you mind walking me out?" He didn't want to be around to much, he wanted her to have as much space as possible before they had to spend the rest of their lives together.
“Yes, of course…” Savannah smiled softly and walked with Damian to the doors. “You know, it’s really late, and you are welcome to stay if you want. I-I mean, if you want to leave that’s fine, I’m just saying… it’s an option.” A light pink rose to her cheeks and she looked away.
Damian smirked playfully. "Is the Princess asking me," he laid a hand over his chest, "A small prince from a small country to stay… the night." He let out a sarcastic gasp and laughed. "No, I should go pack. Don't worry we'll be seeing each other a lot." He kissed her cheek and let go of her hand. "Goodbye Princess." He wincked before getting in a carriage and headed off towards home.
“Goodbye, Damian.” Savannah stood in the doorway and watched the carriage drive off for a bit before retreating to her own room. She got into her dressing gown and went to bed, falling asleep easily. (Should we time skip? You can go ahead if so)
(Ack sorry I had an orchestra concert)
(Yeah I'm fine with time skipping.)
(Do you wanna start or me?)
(Which would you rather?)
(Uh you can I guess? I don’t mind if you don’t want to tho)
( I have to go. So, you can start and I'll be back tomorrow.)
(Alrighty)
Savannah got into her wedding dress and had her hair and makeup done professionally. She looked stunning, but she was still a bit nervous. Things would be very different once she was married. Georgiana went with her outside the door she was to enter through and they waited together anxiously.
Georgiana squeezed the princess's hand. "It's going to be beautiful," she whispered.
(I too have to sleep. I shall return)
(I suppose I should go as well. Everyone’s dead anyways lol)
“I hope so, Georgiana…” Savannah whispered back with a gentle smile. Even though the wedding was arranged, that didn’t calm her nerves.
Marcus was on gate duty. He smiled softly. He was sure the Prince and the Princess would make wonderful rulers.
The queen, who was in the dressing room with Savannah, Georgiana, and two other maids, smiled and watched her daughter in the mirror and one of the maids tidied her makeup. "You're going to do great, dear, I know it. Just breath and stay calm; remember your training."
(Back, although it may be hard for me to be on today. My dad and I are having a bet that I can be off of my phone for 48 hours, not including phone calls and texts. But working with kids and being on my laptop is more difficult than a phone.)
Damian looked into the mirror and made sure his suit was on right. It was finally the day, the wedding. He was nervous. All he had to do now was wait to be called. Sighing he plopped down into a chair and buried his face into his hands. Did he really want this? No, it didn't matter, he had to do it. There was no choice. He knew since he was young that he would be married off, but it was just until now that it was settling in. "Don't lose nerve now. It's not allowed." Breath, breath. "Maybe I'll learn to love her. Yeah, that's it." To the left, the door opened and the main Buttler came in to warn him it was almost time.
Savannah nodded slightly and watched the doors intently, waiting for them to open. Her father should be arriving here soon to walk her down the aisle. Savannah wondered if Damian was already up at the altar.
It was only a couple minutes more, but the door opened and King Caspian was standing there, smiling at Savannah. "Oh, my little girl. You look lovely." The butler that with him held the door as the king held his hand out to the princess.
In the main hall, the two butlers that were with Damian had him stand up and prepare to enter the room. "Are you ready, sir?"
