Hey y’all
So are we sort of restarting the story with a very slightly different plot? I can start, if so
It was the whole "betrothed prince and princess first meet as disguised strangers and end up falling in love" deal right?
Sure, but imma start with savannah figuring out she’s being forced to get married and it’s sad boi hours
Can I stalk?
You can stalk or join if you want ^^
(I’ll go ahead and do the starter)
Savannah ran out into the town square, trying to brush tears from her face as she went. She’d left her tiara at home, but she was still wearing a relatively nice (casual for her) dress, which earned her a few curious glances. Eventually she seemed to grow tired and stumbled over her shoes, falling into a wall. She held herself up against the wall with one hand, gasping for breath with tears streaked across her face.
(Bump)
Riverpaw's ears perked at the sound and scent of someone nearby. She rolled from her side onto her stomach, yawning and shaking the sleep from her body. She glanced around and sat up, suddenly nervous as she scooted further under the small tree she had been napping under; her sister had warned her about getting too close to people outside of the forest. She listened… Crying? Who was crying? It sounded like it was coming from right around the side of the building the tree was growing next to. She didn't like hearing people unhappy. Maybe she could…
She slowly made her way to corner of the wall and peeked her head around. Oh, she's pretty. But why is she crying?
(Is she in dog/wolf form or human right now?)
You can stalk or join if you want ^^
I might just stalk, because all of my characters are horrible…
(Oof that’s a mood)
(Yeah…)
(Wolf form. Also, shh, das not true)
The wooden door to the towns inn swung open and a taller guy with messy hair walked in. A boar hung over his shoulder as he walked into the kitchen. "Ms. Silva." Damian kissed her cheek as he laid the pig on the counter. "Got you something good for the customers." Looking over all the people in the room. There has been more and more people staying here and he was happy for her. Silva took Damian in when he was orphaned as a young child, so he tries to help as much as he can. "I'm going to go get cleaned up." He went outside and washed himself off and clipped his bangs back showing his bright blue eyes. His skin tone was a bit darker than most people and it was even more weird he had darker skin but bright blue eyes. Silva tells him he's handsome, but he doesn't fully believe her. He came back in and sat at a table by himself reading a book.
Savannah looked up at the creature curiously, a little surprised to see anything else here. “H-Hey… it’s okay, I… I-I won’t hurt you.” She held one hand out towards the wolf, using the other to wipe fresh tears from her face.
Oh no, no no no. Riverpaw flinched, moving slightly back behind the wall. She said she wouldn't hurt you but you can't trust humans! She sniffed the air, keeping her eyes on the girl. But…she doesn't seem like someone who would… Her aura is calm…aside from the sadness coming off of it. Riverpaw made an quiet, nervous sound, but stepped a paw out anyway.
“T-That’s good… come on, it’s alright.” Savannah smiled softly. It seems very cautious… did something happen to it? She wondered to herself, kneeling down to Riverpaw’s level. She knew her parents would be furious that she got her dress dirty, but at this point, she didn’t much care what they thought. She wasn’t too happy with them.
This is fine. This is fine.
It might not be fine.
I'll be fine.
Riverpaw growled at herself and shook her head, quieting her inner voices. She looked up at the girl, so close. She could lunge and grab her at any second, run off and take her from her home. Her sister wouldn't know where to find her. She should listen to her sister better.
…This human seemed okay, though, just sad. The energy coming from her was mostly sadness, but now there was a hint of patience and calm. Please don't. Please don't. The pup slowly came out from behind the corner, tilting her head a little. She sniffed the girl's hand, her eyes and ears waiting for any sudden movements.
Savannah hesitated before gently petting Riverpaw. She wanted the wolf to feel safe, so she never made any sharp movements. “At least you’re nice.” She sighed a bit. Great. Now I’m talking to a wolf about my feelings. “My parents are forcing me to get married. I-I told them I didn’t want to, but they said I must. For the sake of everyone…” She brushed away a couple new tears. “They don’t know I’m here… I-I’m not supposed to go out to town alone, but right now I don’t really care what they think.”
Riverpaw whined at the girl's distress, peeking from under her hand and licking at her wrist. That doesn't sound very nice. I'm sorry.
Savannah smiled sadly, scratching behind Riverpaw’s ears. “It’d be nice if a had a dog. We have a horse, of course, but you always connect more closely with dogs…”
Riverpaw's ear flicked at those words, and she suddenly backed away. Wha- nope! Nope. I don't like the sound of that. She glanced behind her, at the forest a ways beyond the entrance to the town, then back at the girl. She did it a few times, trying to send the message that she didn't want to be taken away.
"Oh!" Savannah seemed to realize what Riverpaw was trying to say. "Don't worry. I would never take you from your natural habitat." She leaned back against the wall and sighed, brushing some dust off her dress. "People can't keep wolves as pets. I could probably find somewhere to purchase an ordinary dog, however."
