Savannah hesitated before gently petting Riverpaw. She wanted the wolf to feel safe, so she never made any sharp movements. “At least you’re nice.” She sighed a bit. Great. Now I’m talking to a wolf about my feelings. “My parents are forcing me to get married. I-I told them I didn’t want to, but they said I must. For the sake of everyone…” She brushed away a couple new tears. “They don’t know I’m here… I-I’m not supposed to go out to town alone, but right now I don’t really care what they think.”
Riverpaw whined at the girl's distress, peeking from under her hand and licking at her wrist. That doesn't sound very nice. I'm sorry.
Savannah smiled sadly, scratching behind Riverpaw’s ears. “It’d be nice if a had a dog. We have a horse, of course, but you always connect more closely with dogs…”
Riverpaw's ear flicked at those words, and she suddenly backed away. Wha- nope! Nope. I don't like the sound of that. She glanced behind her, at the forest a ways beyond the entrance to the town, then back at the girl. She did it a few times, trying to send the message that she didn't want to be taken away.
"Oh!" Savannah seemed to realize what Riverpaw was trying to say. "Don't worry. I would never take you from your natural habitat." She leaned back against the wall and sighed, brushing some dust off her dress. "People can't keep wolves as pets. I could probably find somewhere to purchase an ordinary dog, however."
(Omg I - I love this. Is this full, or would it be possible for me to join as like a maid possibly?)
(Feel free to join! If you want to be a maid, you could come looking for Savannah since she ran off ^^)
(By the way, we’re not using templates, so you can just hop in whenever)
(Omg thank youu!!) (Is Savannah a princess? I don't remember from the old one.)
Georgiana pulled her skirt up as she ran toward the castle gates. This was exactly what was NOT supposed to happen. She could get fired for this. And she had JUST gotten this job, too! as she reached the street, she began to panic. How was she going to find one person in a bustling city? She immediately slipped and fell into the street, narrowly missing being hit by a cart. Of course, it's always me. She thought.
(Yes, she’s the princess)
Savannah jumped at the sound of a crash and stood up, looking around the corner of the building she was behind. She spotted her maid and quickly tried to look as though she hadn’t been crying, but didn’t do too well with that. “G-Georgiana?” She asked cautiously. “Is that you?” (Also, Savannah’s about 16)
(Ah, thanks) (Georgiana's gonna be around there too)
Georgiana looked up and hastily got to her feet. Thank the heavens, she thought. "Savannah! Gracious, were you crying? What's wrong, dear?" Georgiana addressed the princess as she would one of her own siblings when they were upset, hoping it might have a calming effect on the girl.
“Oh… I-it’s nothing, really, I just…” Savannah looked away before suddenly hugging Georgiana, crying again. “M-Mother and father have arranged for m-me to get married! They… t-they didn’t even ask me if I was okay with it! They just keep going on and on about h-how it’s for the good of everyone, b-but I can’t get married… I’m only sixteen! Oh, Georgiana… what am I to do?”
Riverpaw yelped at the arrival of the other himan, bolting back behind the building to watch them from there. If people were looking for this girl, she'd have to get home soon before a more unfriendly human showed up.
(I honestly don't know what to do with Damian.)
(Maybe you could hear them being loud and go to investigate?)
As Damian was in the kitchen helping Silva cook, a few voices came from tight outside in the alleyway. At first he thought they were in trouble, but he hadn't heard any screaming yet. "Well, I'll go check anyway." Wiping the blood from his hands on his apron, he stepped out the back door and walked out to see two girls and a pup. "What's going on?"
(We don't seem to have a Prince, so I was thinking if you want Damian could be. He could be from a small kingdom and that's way he has to marry her. But he ran away and grew out his hair to live by himself.)
(Yeah it’s open, and if no one else wants to be the prince or anything I’m fine with Damian being one ^^ he’s a good boyo)
“Oh! Sorry sir… I-I didn’t mean to disturb you or anything. It’s nothing, really.” Savannah quickly tried to dry her tears. It would be hard to explain the problem to someone who didn’t know she was the princess.
"Hm." A girl crying is something he's never dealt with before, but he couldn't just leave her. "It's kinda chilly, um, how about a hot meal on the house?" In his head it sounded fine, but when he said it out loud it was extremely awkward. Even though he was prince he had never been very good with people. Since his kingdom is small, he didn't have to deal with huge crowds. "I mean, only if you want."
“Er… I-I mean, if it’s okay… I wouldn’t want to be any trouble.” People are looking for me… perhaps I could hide in there. “I couldn’t just not pay you though. Please, take this.” Savannah took a few silver coins out of a small pouch she had, holding them out to Damian.
"No, really." He pushed her hand back and opened the door for her. "I work here, so it's no trouble at all." He would have to lead her through the kitchen so they might get a few people looking, but that was nothing new to him.
Savannah reluctantly put her money back in the pouch and followed Damian into the restaurant. She avoided eye contact with everyone just in case someone recognized her, but the majority of people had never seen her in their lives, despite her being the princess.
