"What are you talking about Silver!?" Said Skye "I come all this way to bail you out and this is the thanks I get?"
"Without me you and your family would probably be dead by now" said Silver flatly.
"Oh dont be lordy!" Said Skye wryly. Pulling out a toolkit and beginning to work on the lock.
Septima's jaw dropped. "You're kidding… N-never mind her… let's get you out of here. At least I won't have to rescue another person."
"Working on cracking a rusty lock here" said Skye.
Silver studied Septima, "so how is it you two met up?" He asked her.
"Well, I was at a bar… trying to come up with a plan to save this one." She pointed at Aurelius. "I overheard him say something that made me believe he could help me get to my friend, so I approached him after we left, and now we're here."
"She overheard me getting info" supplemented Skye as he finally opened the lock.opening the creaky door he took two seconds to check the locks on the other's cells, and went to Aurelius' first.
"That's right," Septima said.
Aurelius started to stand up in his cell. He realized that he was much weaker than he had previously thought. His knees were wobbly, but he figured he would be okay. After all, he hadn't eaten recently, so he had little energy, but that wouldn't be a problem once he was out of here.
Skye soon had the lock open and he carefully pulled the cage door open. heading over to silver's cell he went to work on the lock.
Aurelius stumbled out, but Septima rushed over to lend him a hand and keep watch.
"Anyone else?" she whispered to Skye.
"Just Silver" said Skye distractedly while Silver tapped a foot impatiently.
"Okay…" Septima acknowledged him.
Aurelius, somewhat slumped over on Septima's shoulders, commented, "We probably wouldn't even have time to get anyone else… the guards could come back any moment…"
They heard some muffled yelling as the guards came back down the hall. Skye swore, pulling back from the lock with a broken pick, "That was my best one too!" he said still swearing. "You know what, I don't care and you can kill me later, now back up." he said shooing silver back.
Silver immediately flattened himself against the far side of his cell.
Skye summoned a ball of violet and silver aura, "Nebulis burst!" the door imploded.
Aurelius stumbled in between the guards and the other three people with him. He made a dramatic motion with him, and a haze of darkness filled the space that separated the guards from him and the people all trying to escape. Hopefully that would buy them time.
Skye glanced at Aurelius, before ushering them all to the drain hole they'd used to get in, "Let's go people!"
Silver wasted no time before hopping down the hole, not even glancing at the ladder.
Septima started towards the hole, practically dragging Aurelius because that magic had been much more draining than he'd expected. She hopped down into the drain hole, making sure to hang below Aurelius in case he started to slip.
"We're good! Come on!" Septima whispered, just loud enough for Skye to hear.
Aurelius shadows had dissipated and several armed guards were advancing on him. He drew one blade, holding at his side. "Back off and no one gets hurt." "Silver get them out of here! I'll handle this" he said to Silver. (Bold is telepathy and only the person he is talking to can hear him.)
"Silver, we're sliding down this ladder so that Skye can get away with us, okay?" Septima said confidently.
Aurelius looked down at her. "You're a madwoman… I won't make it."
"I'll carry you down if I have to. You're a lightweight."
Aurelius sighed. "I suppose… If you're that sure of yourself."
"Don't!" called Silver, "Just come down slowly! Skye is more powerful than he looks!"
"I'll meet up with you lot later!" said Skye, "Just focus on getting out of here safely!" Skye drew his blades, and his amulet began to glow. "Altas" that one command and Skye's blades lit up with a brilliant aura and Silver and violet mist surrounded them, eminating a powerful magic that even a non magic user could feel.
"You shouldn't have messed with us" Skye growled to the guards.
"Well, fine then," Septima sighed, "Hope he makes it out okay. Sometimes, not even great power is enough to save your own skin…"
Aurelius looked back up towards Skye, but he was still making his way down the ladder, slowly and shakily. "It's not…"
His grip started to slacken a little, and he slid a few inches down the ladder.
"Keep going, Auri… You'll make it."
The guards chose that moment to attack. Skye's first response was to create a sheild around the trapdoor. Secondly he engaged the first guard with his blades, and intricate pattern of swipes, slashes, and parrys, that happened at lightening fast speed.
Silver watched as Septima and Aurelius, "You can make it guys!"
Septima climbed down the next few rings of the ladder. She was almost down, and Aurelius was only slightly behind her.
She landed firmly on the ground, waiting for her friend to finish coming down.
Silver was relieved when Aurelius got down safely and he nodded to the tunnel. "Lets go you two" he said firmly, ignoring the crash from above.
Skye had just thrown one guard back against some reinforcements that had come down. "Get 'em outta here fast Silv, I don't know how long I can hold 'em alone!" he said it mentally before engaging about three more guards.
"Yeah, got it," Septima replied, grabbing Aurelius' wrist, "Come on. Do you think you can run if we have to?"
"So long as I don't use any more magic, sure," he replied softly.
Silver shifted to wolf form, "Yeah no." he said stepping in front of both of them, "You're both riding ok?"
"Riding?" Aurelius asked.
"Yeah, take him at least," Septima agreed, "If I'm too much, you can drop me somewhere, tell me where to meet, and I can catch up. I've got powers, and I've got the energy. I can take care of myself if need be."
Silver huffed, "I can take both of you, now hurry up and get on!"
