While Aurelius was awake, he would watch Skye, and also pay attention to his surroundings to assist in watch just a little bit. He turned to look at Septima. She was motionless and quiet, and had her hood pulled over her eyes.
Skye soon turned to face Aurelius, "You should really get some rest" he said, watching as his friends slept.
"I'm trying," he sighed, "I've fallen asleep here and there at least."
He rested his head on his knees where he had them tucked up to his chest.
Silver slept softly, rolling over and curling up under the moonlight.
"I can always charm you to sleep if you want." said Skye softly, staring at the stars.
"Charm?" Aurelius asked, "I mean… go for it, I guess… As long as it doesn't take too much out of you."
"Nah" said Skye letting his aura envelope Aurelius, putting him to sleep instantly.
Aurelius was about to say something else, but he felt himself fade out quickly. He laid down in a pile of leaves, dozing off peacefully.
Skye smiled settling in for the long night not gonna let my mate or the lady cover my hide.
(Yeah)
Septima awoke to sun in her eyes.
"Hey… Why didn't anyone wake me up for..?"
Aurelius was asleep a few feet away, and she saw Skye was still up.
"Honey, you're gonna wear yourself out. I'm in better condition than anyone else here, and yet you couldn't even let me take a portion of watch," she said. Her sharp, white teeth were slightly bared. Although she didn't intend aggression, it probably came across that way.
Skye shrugged, "lost track of time…"
She scowled and muttered under her breath, "Liar… Have fun with sleep deprivation…"
Aurelius meanwhile started to stir. Everything felt surreal; he hadn't had that kind of deep, dark sleep in a while. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. He still didn't feel very well, but it could be much worse. He could still be in that prison cell.
"You do realize im naturally nocturnal right?" Asked Skye, noting that silver was still out.
"Nocturnal doesn't change the fact that you haven't been sleeping," Septima snapped back, "You've been working yourself half to death, my guy."
"Calm down," Aurelius said, his voice hoarse.
Skye shrugged, "What's done is done" he shrugged, "That and staying awake under the stars all night has restored my powers"
Septima's eyes narrowed. "Well, if that's true, you're one of a kind… I've never met someone who could just restore like that. For people with powers like mine, it takes time and rest. Is that why Silver seems okay too? Of course he hadn't been in as long as Auri, but… it's still astonishing to compare the two."
"Silver's a Luna element" said Skye, "Luna power depends on exposure to the moon. And I'm as a basis, a Star element, and my powers do somewhat work on the same principal. Either way both our abilities can be drained it we're kept away from moonlight, or starlight, depending on the element. And sometimes that kind of deprivation can effect you physically."
"Oh… hm. So, our magic is quite different. Rest and good health are a basis for power. We can draw on our power from the world around us, but… well, if it's not there, we have to generate attacks more so from our own energy. So I'm more powerful and enduring in broad daylight. He's more powerful in the dark. It's much more fragile than whatever you have, though. We can do some amazing things with our powers, but it takes a lot out of us," Septima explained.
"Most magic works that way…" said Silver with a yawn as he sat up. "Or at least close to it, me and Skye are different solely because of our base element."
"You're also half-wolf though," Aurelius said, "Does that have anything to do with it?"
Septima looked his way. "So did you actually sleep well?"
He nodded, but was still looking at Skye and Silver for answers.
"Not really" said Skye, "Other then the fact that our magic comes from our wolf sides, there's really no difference if we were full blooded on either side."
"Still seems complicated, but honestly, who knows with magic? People who don't have it are so afraid of it that they're locking us away, so…" Aurelius muttered.
Septima started to stand up so she could stretch. "Well then, what's the plan? I kind of want to get home to my family."
"I was thinking we'd head out to join up with the rest of the resistance for this area" said Skye,
"Resistance?" asked Silver,
"Yeah, magic users against the kingdom's oppression tactics." said Skye, "They're the ones who pointed me in the right direction to find you, and Blaze, Firiko, and Arthur are already out there with them."
"As much as I would like to join a resistance," Septima said, "I've got people worried about me."
"You can go home," Aurelius said, "but I would like to fight back. What they're doing to us is ridiculous. I've experienced it firsthand."
"I know… and I'm torn."
